new start

hello!!

it's been a while since we last spoke, and a lot has happened in my life since april (the last time i updated this blog).

first things first, i am no longer a member of mob8. the reasons why are rather personal and i'd rather not get into the details of what went down, but my mental health was one of the bigger reasons as to why it was best i take a step back from any mob8 activities.

i have also retired the Mr. Introvert alias, as i feel a fresh start on creating music will be better for me in the long run. all the Mr. Introvert material will stay up for archival purposes.

on a lighter note, i have gone forth and began creating music under many other aliases, such as Jane Doe's Husband, exxo, canadian winter fires, rvptures, y2james and dull sharp objects. i'll go more in depth of what i want to accomplish with each alias, but for now just know that there's a lot i'm going to be doing going forward.

i'm very excited to move forward with life and music, and i feel that this new chapter is really going to bring good things my way, yknow? feels nice to finally feel like i have a sense of direction again if that makes sense lmaoo.

this week will bring a new exxo album, titled "two weeks". it's a record going over two weeks of my life in august, one of the worst i ever experienced and one of the best i've ever experienced. i'm very excited for you guys to hear that this Saturday :).

overall, there's a lot that's going to be happening going forward and i'm very excited to see where life takes me again.

update 04/30/2024

hello!!

i'm gonna start using this place again as a way to update people on what's going on with my music and general life :)

first off, i want to announce a couple things, starting with:

i'm picking back up my music label!

while the biggest change to the label is the branding, i've also changed a few other things besides that, such as which genres i accept (which is almost every genre), and which kind of releases i accept (albums, mixtapes, EPs and double singles, so 2-30 songs per project)

also...

my 4th hip-hop album, LEILA, drops June 7th!!

i've worked on this album for most of 2023, and i've released a couple singles to promote the record, but i wanted to keep things hush-hush until May 1st, but i don't mind doing it a day early :)

the album will release on streaming services, as well as my youtube channel, my bandcamp and the roflXD label bandcamp page. i do plan on doing a cassette or CD release, but that will unfortunately have to wait until sometime around late June that i will begin selling them on the bandcamp pages.

i'll reveal more info as we get closer to June 7th, but for now just know that you are getting a new hip-hop album this coming June :)

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.
