Text
melodic histories
They haunt me like ghosts
who don’t know how to rest
wandering in my head
not knowing who’s dead.
Time has no place
inside my head
when you’re a melody
forever promised to a memory.
They can’t be remade
bound to their truth
cursed to always remember
to every haunting note surrendered
The past can never be erased
as long as the songs from my past
are alive and well
always be awake in their hell.

We never loved each other. We loved the game. The constant bickering and making up, the never knowing what was next. We loved the game so much that we forgot that it was our lives we were playing with. And here we are now, no bickering and making up, just strangers with history.
The game no one wins. (via ifthenightcouldtalk)
