The treatment that Luke and Nicola are receiving from someĀ āfansā is horrendous. Yāall hated Anthony in season one but worshipped him in season two - and I get that you want him and Kate to have more screen time (I want that as well), but saying they deserve more screen time than Colin and Penelope is just disappointing. We donāt even know anything about season 3 yet or have an idea about what itās going to be like because we havenāt received one of thoseĀ āfirst look scenesā or even a teaser trailer. When people say they have noĀ āchemistryā - they donāt have many scenes together in the first two seasons, and for what itās worth Luke and Nicola are both incredible actors and deserve respect.Ā
I am very excited for season three and am impatiently waiting for some sort of release date announcement orĀ āfirst look sceneā like we had for Queen Charlotte and season 2. Lord and Lady Whistledown are about to run the ton.Ā

Okay with everything going around with episode 10 of House of The Dragon can I just say Iām more than slightly pissed off that they are trying to paint Daemon as the villain and make Aegon II have like a redemption arc? I think Daemon is a great example of a morally grey character - heās not good or bad and he does both good and bad things (depending the context and how you choose to look at it) - but what sets him apart is his love, respect and loyalty to his family. Aegon II has none of that.Ā
And remember to not hate the actors because they are working with what the screenwriters have them - in multiple interviews it seems like Matt Smith knows Daemon Targaryen better than the screen/show runners (especially one in particular).Ā

In season 3 of Bridgerton I would like there to be a scene where Colin walks into the drawing room and tells his family he and Penelope are engaged and then show everyoneās reactions. I canāt remember if thatās in the books or not but I think itād be hilarious and wholesome. I think it could go a bit like this:
Anthony:Ā āWhy would someone as sweet and gentle as Penelope Featherington want to marry you?ā
Violet:Ā āAnthony! Colin dearest I am so very pleased for the two of you.ā
Eloise:Ā āDonāt get excited mother Iām sure this is one of Colinās many jests, right?ā
Colin:Ā ā...ā
Eloise:Ā āColin Bridgerton look me in the eyes and tell me you do not plan on marrying my best friend.ā
Hyacinth:Ā āI think Penelope is absolutely beautiful and will make a wonderful bride.ā
Benedict:Ā āWell he finally got his head out of his ass.ā
Colin:Ā āWhy does our youngest brother look like heās planning a murder?ā
Gregory: *glares at Colin from the corner of the room*
(I feel like at some point Gregory had a crush on Penelope and would say to ColinĀ āIf you will not marry her than I shall.ā)

Iām not sure if I can wait until next year for season 3 but that does give me a lot of time to re-read, re-watch and theorize. One thing I will say though is that when talking about Colin in season 3 I only ever see people say they want to see him be jealous and grovel before him and Penelope get together.
Since that is the main thing I see in regards to Colin in the upcoming season it makes me a bit sad. Colin messed up at the end of season 2 but heās still human and he made mistakes - Penelope did as well but by wanting his character to only grovel and be jealous seems like he is being not only objectified but almost ignored (?)
I donāt really know how to describe it but I would like to see a softer and more emotional side of Colin and his journey with figuring out his feelings for Pen. Donāt get me wrong Iād love to see him be jealous but I donāt want him to act out because only because of his jealousy - I think is would have a bigger impact on their story if he sees her with another guy and then starts thinking about how he would be able to move on if Penelope wasnāt in his like. Heād be overwhelmed with all his new feelings and wouldnāt know what to do. I feel like thatās better than him getting jealous just because Pen is dancing with another guy - that makes him seem overly obsessive/controlling (I love Colin āMy Wifeā Bridgerton but not in that way).Ā
We know that the Bridgertons arenāt the best with sharing and dealing with their emotions and that includes Colin. After Edmund died we all know Anthony became Viscount at a young age and Benedict was probably dealing with trying to help Anthony or his mother. I donāt know why but I feel like Colin was the sibling that put on the happy face and cared for his younger siblings which would make sense for why he wouldnāt know how to handle these new emotions in regards to Pen - heās so used to just plastering on a smile.
And thatās why I love Luke Newtonās portrayal of Colin - when rewatching the show it seems like he shows a lot of Colinās emotions/feelings/thoughts through his eyes while his face remains almost stoic like or there is a sad smile (which could be related to hime having to keep his emotions to himself after his fathers death).
I feel like is probably a very unpopular opinion and Iām not 100% sure it makes total sense but I needed to rant a bit. Love Penelope and Colin and canāt wait for them to take the spotlight.Ā

Okay so I think Iām a bit late to the party but I just realized that season 3 of Bridgeton seems to be going more off the title than the original plot (I hope they keep specific chapters in it though).
Since Colin has made it his mission to help Penelope find suitors in order to gain back her favor he is teaching her how to āromanceā people - BUT during their lessons he is being "romancedā by her without that even being the plan. So when Colin is likeĀ āIāll help you find a husband Penā he is actually setting Penelope in terms of āRomancing Mr. Bridgetonā aka Colin.
I canāt believe it took me this long to realize that.Ā

I see a lot of posts talking about how Penelope should have a new suitor take interest in her which leads to Colin being jealous, or for her to completely move on from Colin but I feel like either of those things should happen.Ā
I think that might be an unpopular opinion but it just feels out of character for both of them. If the show continues to change the plot from the books I think they could maybe focus more on Colin trying to find who he is (since he is the third son) and honestly with the whole Whistledown fiasco I doubt Penelope will have time for a suitor.Ā Ā
I mean yeah itās upsetting when things are changed but sometimes itās necessary when you transfer from pages to a screen (there is also a whole new audience). So with the next few seasons Iām just going to have an open mind and will enjoy the show regardless of what happens.Ā
