daily affirmations:
i am kind
i am in control of my emotions
it does not bother me when someone is in the kitchen while i was planning to be in there alone
everyone in the house has the right to be in the kitchen
i am kind and in control of my emotions even when someone is in the kitchen while i was planning to be in there alone

when me and my boyfriend make meals we have a tradition of sending each other unappetising off-centre photographs of them in poor lighting. we call this "wikipedia food".

memento is a really good movie, and not a comedy, but this is the funniest shot in film history

GUYS I did it. I did what I had been dreaming of doing for 5 years. I went to The Trawlerman in Wigan and tried the Wigan kebab, smack barm pey wet, and babby's yed. I felt like such a tourist but the staff were so lovely, and the food was amazing. Smack barm was my favourite; the crunchiness of the smack goes very well with the creaminess of pey wet. Also such good gravy and chips! I know a lot of non-British people who saw that video was mocking the food but I always thought it looked delicious and it's legitimately really good eating. Do try it if you ever find yourself in or near Wigan ☺️

In ancient Wigan the word is commonly accepted by historical linguists as referring to what we would now call gravy, but was also used in reference to this, suggesting that the two were not seen as different enough to require a distinction. The modern Wigan word for it is borrowed from French, suggesting the distinction came more recently
