Harvey Milk was one of the first openly gay elected officials in the United States. Harvey Milk was a total badass for LGBTQ+ rights when it was genuinely dangerous to be out. He showed up loud, proud, and unshakable, paving the way for future queer generations to live, love, and fight back.

He didn’t just fight for gays — Harvey stood with workers, seniors, BIPOC, and anyone pushed to the margins. He believed in radical hope, community power, and making noise for change.

Harvey was assassinated in 1978, but his legacy lives on — Not just as a queer icon, but as a symbol of solidarity, courage, and the fierce magic of being visible.
