Why are both the submas hair reveals technically non canon?

Ingos concept art with the buzz cut/receding hairline in the art book is just that: concept art. It's obvious because there's a "panel" where he's being discovered by the Pearl Clan, face down in the snow. But in the actual game he says the Pearl Clan found him, standing and looking around in confusion. His character model also has a sort of tiny cut off bun in the back under his collar, when taking his game model apart.

The image from the teraleak is one we know well... except for the tiny haircut thumbnail. Why was the image of Ingo with a buzz cut redacted??? Literally what could be the reason? The rest of the sheet is out there, and has been for a long time!

Do the devs just REALLY want to keep people guessing what's under those hats? Why have these images never transcended concept art, and in the original submas art case, never saw the light of day until now??

Aside from the devs wanting it to be a mystery (which is a hysterical potential reason), maybe they just... realize how silly the boys look? Like the hair triangles are not canonically sideburns, how many people draw them. They're sideBANGS; they're not attached to their face on any of their 3D models! And even in their 2D art they don't look like they grow from their face.

Maybe the devs were like "the world cannot know these guys have face framing mullets." Because a buzz cut except for the long side bangs is pretty insane 😂

But in all seriousness I am intensely curious now. Why is their hair all noncanon. Whose choice was that!

So for those of you who have chosen to be kind, to uplift others, and be strong despite what life throws at you…Bravo. However, your journey has just begun. So when your destination is set, move forward, full stream ahead. I just want to mention that this is probably one of the reasons I love Ingo���s character so much. That despite essentially losing everything and even who he once was. He was still full of encouragement and love. It was just who he was. 

The last page is also worded specifically to address you the reader.  So, from Ingo and myself…Bravo.

I think plenty of people have made content on how disorienting it must have been for Ingo when he woke up in Hisui. In a sense I found his experience to be  relatable in the idea that when great change happens in our lives, we adapt. Looking back we see we are no longer the same person. Granted, most people don’t suffer from amnesia🤣 but there is still the concept of mourning ourselves. For mourning the person we used to be. A person who maybe was happier during a certain time or more patient to those around them. But life continues to make us change whether we wish it or not.

Just an average NYC subway experience amirite?

Here we have my full piece for the @battle-facility-zine, which is available now to download for free! A massive thank you to the mods for allowing me the oppertunity to be part of this zine, it has been a delight!

I can imagine that even if the battle subway trains are designed to be more resistant to pokemon attacks things can still get out of hand. Not an unfamiliar sight to Ingo and Emmet, nor do they care as the super intense battle they just had is gonna leave a bigger impact on their minds than any damage the train took
