For those of you who are interested in the story behind the concept album, Misguided, here is an in-depth look into the ninth track.
The story behind: Man of Darkness
As some of you may already know, the story of Misguided takes on a multi-linear timeline. At this point in the album, the man we’ve come to know as the “Man of Darkness” has already made a pact with the devil, and got much more than he bargained for. The song picks up from where the character savagely attacks a village and sets it aflame. The reputation of his ways quickly spreads throughout all the land, as a man that is fueled by revenge and demon fire. People hide in their homes as they fear for their lives.
The song begins to explain the man’s thirst for revenge on his now former wife. After traveling from village to village in search of his now former love, he finally comes across the castle where she had supposedly resided. Filled with blinding hate and malevolence, he enters only to find she had already been murdered. This is where one of the many twists in the plot occur.
The spirit of his dead wife confronts him, and shows him her side of the story. He learns that his love had never actually betrayed him, and had actually left in order to try and save him. In her early captivity, she discovered she bore his child. Eventually her captor lost his mind, and murdered her… and then himself.
Learning all of this, he is overcome with grief and regret, and hopes to become a normal man again, but is still bound to his pact with the devil. In spite of his pact, he decides to use his blood-thirst to rid the world of evil, and bring sinners to justice. Even though his motives have drastically changed, his reputation doesn’t.

Alex Repetti and Alex Raykin answer some questions about the band, their process and the album.
We want to give a special shout out to a few people that not only made our album possible, but turned it into something much more than we had ever expected it to be:
Will Severin (http://www.willseverin.com/) -- Obviously he sang the lead vocals for the album, but what some of you may not know, is that he also wrote all of the lyrics and vocal melodies. On top of that, he also added all of the sound design, wrote and performed the majority of the voice acting, and assisted in the graphic design of our album's booklet and jacket. He also helped us tweak some of the programming on the album. He's an amazingly talented musician, and is an absolute pleasure to work with.
Chris Theis (http://www.theismix.com/) -- Not only did he mix our album for us, but he also mastered all of the tracks as well. What most of you probably don't know though, is that Chris is the guy that introduced us to his good friend, Will Severin, when he found out that our previous singer had left the band during our recording process. We would possibly still be searching for a singer right now had Chris not helped us out during that time. He also contributed to the voice acting on the album, which was very cool. Chris is an extraordinary audio engineer, and a great person to work with.
Alex Nero (https://www.facebook.com/AlexNero365?fref=ts) -- Not only did Alex do our album cover art, but he also did our band photo shoot. What some of you may not know, is that Alex also designed our Band and Album logos for us. He's also in the process of helping us put together our band website. He's a very talented photographer/artist, and also an excellent website designer.
Evan Magid, Greg Schwab, Aaron Letrick, Chris Algoo & Stan Efraimov -- Although they aren't in the band anymore for various reasons, we greatly appreciate each of their contributions during their time in the band. We couldn't have gotten to where we are now without their help. We learned a lot from each of them.
Eddie Redovane -- Although he joined the band after the album's release, he has been a great addition to the band, and we greatly look forward to creating some new music with him.
