Tony Stark’s skepticism is born out of his life experiences.

Tony ‘isn’t a team player’ and ‘doesn’t stick to plans’ not because of his ego or ‘narcissism’; rather because his hero (Yinsen) abandoned the plan & sacrificed himself thereby ensuring the safety of Tony’s own life. Tony is just following in Yinsen’s footsteps. He is trying to emulate his hero, and he is justifiably wary of people (even well-intentioned heroes) who emulate his antagonists.

In Tony’s personal experience, words have no weight. Promises change. There are already people who made promises of trust & being a team, only to misuse that trust and back-stab him. Ideals and ideas (even that of Avengers itself) can be corrupted. Hence, he doesn’t blindly accept slogans and platitudes offered. 

Because Tony knows the reality: An assertion does not a truth make.

Hello beautiful people! Wowza I’m being sappy but I do think you’re all pretty fantastic. Anyway, I’m getting pretty close to 200 followers and I wanted to touch on that by saying a little thank you and listing a bunch of you who I adore. There won’t be any order to this but I might say a few words about a handful of you before putting up a list for follow forever. @mrf34r - Not long after I finished watching Mr. Robot, which was only a few weeks ago, I decided to go around to see if there were roleplay blogs. Obviously I found a few and this was one I followed to begin with. I was incredibly shy about it when I approached this mun but it has been the best thing I have ever done. They make me feel like I’m very welcomed in the fandom and I love talking to them on a daily basis. Of course I do talk way too much but it hasn’t scared them yet. Honestly, go follow them if you want an incredibly talented writer who writers verses for Elliot and Mr Robot. Such a gem. Also we have so many plots here and a thing on discord which…I still love them for.

@runtimerrxr / @choosewisxly - This was actually the first blog I followed when I started watching Mr. Robot. I think I’d seen all of two episodes and already knew that I wanted to add some muses. They were SO nice to me and basically put up with me live texting the whole 3 seasons while I binge watched it ( IN ONE WEEK ). I love talking to them and we do have some discord things which honestly make my day. I’m hoping to plot/write/chat with them for a long time. Another two blogs you need to follow as their Sam/Josh are just as amazing as their Elliot. 

@eternalnoise - My fellow Brit. Such a lovely writer and they have some of the  best muses around. We have a few things going and I’m hoping that we’ll have so many more things in the future. I thoroughly do enjoy getting to talk to them on discord and see them shining on the dash. 

@harriedwritings - I started off just doing a Samantha starter for them but then I approached about a tester muse of mine (Jessica Riley) and well, we have not stopped plotting since that moment. We have an ongoing thread with the two hot SURVIVORS and I can honestly not wait to see where that will go. I didn’t think I was going to be this invested in Jessica but because of this amazing writer, I am completely smitten with the muse and of course, their Mike Munroe. 

@itsdeadlights - One of my longer standing friends who always finds a place in their heart to follow me no matter what muse I’m trying. I met them on my Bev Marsh blog and we’ve been friends ever since then. I went through some terrible things with my life and they have always been there for me. I don’t know where I would be if I couldn’t talk to them over discord or plot with our crazy muses. I can’t wait for the second chapter of IT so we can do even more crazy things together.

The guy was already doing some choice freelance work out by himself, and it didn’t take long for Fury to pick up on those types of people. He liked the drive and the pre-established set of morals. That’s how Fury’d picked him up, ages ago, despite the “issues” Tony was still sort of “working through.”

   “Hey fella, you Manuel? Manny?”

Tony purred as the guy walked outta the gym he worked at. Solid cover. Probably kept him in tip-top shape. Tony’d been keeping a consistant routine but he hadn’t boxed in a couple of months. He probably should pick that up again, but he was sort of busy, lately... He was wearing sunglasses, but the problem was that most people knew who he was from all the way down the block, these days.

Tony finished his warning before igniting his blasters and soaring back off into the fight with the electricity dude wearing the green cloak wrecking havoc in downtown New York. This guy had busted out of nowhere and narrowly missed Tony’s repulsor blast.
