I think about my yakuza ocs from time to time and what breaks my heart the fact that if I had them in like the parties of IW I’d have Moriko be with Ichibans and Grit be with Kiryus. Even tho Moriko would have more common with Kiryu (being a parent) even tho she wouldn’t find that out about Kiryu

But no Moriko would plead practically beg Grit to go with Kiryu and Nanba just because she didn’t want there to be a chance of something happening with him staying in Hawaii (ex barracuda member and all)

They make me so sad you guys

Before Moriko meets Grit (my other yakuza oc) and the Ichigang she had a child with another man, this child meant the absolute world to Moriko but in true yakuza backstory fashion nothing lasts forever,

I haven’t decided what happens to the daughter yet so that’s another thing

Moriko takes a while to get over her old lover before meeting Grit but the grief of her child remains the de@d flower is supposed to symbolise that

She soon falls in love with Grit and meets the Ichigang after they heard about someone going after Grit (barracuda member)

Then its just flashbacks

The end is Morikos shop/home being broken into and the little stand of her daughters things destroyed just because she helped Grit betray the Barracudas

If there’s one thing a never want in a LAD 9 It’d be watching Mitamura be redeemed, my main issue was that Ichi was already so forgiving when Mitamura was being the way he was

Also I keep having this sickly feeling that they’ll downplay Chitose’s emotions on it and somehow make her the bad person in the situation and I just don’t fw it.

Some of the fandom already pull this bs with her too. I have never seen a Mitamura hate post in my year of being a fan of these games but have seen countless Chitose hate posts

The reason I don’t draw yakuza characters that much is cause the little voice in my head telling me “will people even recognise the characters when I draw them?”

And I mean it’s not the only fandom that has me suffering from this but it does appear a lot more

I never changed any of the jobs in LAD or IW all characters kept their original jobs cause i couldn’t be bothered changing them at any point

I think my favourite thing about Yakuza fanart is how different people draw Saejima’s body

I imagine him with Brock lesners 2023 body type build and nothing more

Especially in iw I imagine he had a bit more chub
