The only "disease" that I know of in the pokemon universe would be the pokerus, it doesn't have any negative effects rather it increases the number of EVs you get, and how do you get EVs? Battling wild pokemon. So yes there is precedent for uncategorized microscopic pokemon infecting larger pokemon in the pokemon universe.

I mean... there is a way to improve colour vision... It's just really rare.

Since colour blindness doesn't really remove cones but rather just moves their activated range in a way that makes colour distinction more difficult, and all that is on recessive genes so someone can have both a colourblind copy and a normal copy of the same cone, an individual can absolutely have 4 types of cones that are all functional and that can improve colour perception in some scenarios

synapsids spent soo long being such loser animals that only the most derived of them have adaptations for color vision wrt a diurnal lifestyle. and those aren't even there a good chunk of the time

I'd like to quickly add that keeping pillbugs (isopods) or springtails in a similar terrarium adjacent setup to earthworms is also pretty fine... and if you're careful keeping a few caterpillars inside until they pupate is fairly doable, just need to keep an eye on what you're providing them for food

I’ve been seeing quite a few phony “wildlife rescue” videos recently, so I just want to put out this quick PSA:

- don’t “save” wild prey animals from predators. just don’t. even if the prey animal is cute. even if the predator is scary or gross.

- if you find a baby deer all on its own, it’s doing fine. deer naturally leave their fawns alone for extended periods of time. leave it alone. mama will come back, and she can take care of baby much better than you can.

- if, however, you find a fawn with heavy, visible open wounds, or if mom has a carcass nearby, then you can call a qualified wildlife rehab center. do NOT bring it into your house and try to raise it yourself

- don’t try and raise ANY wild animals yourself, actually. The only exception I would give would be like, jumping spiders or earthworms

- don’t touch wild animals. not even if they come up to you. not even babies. ESPECIALLY not babies.

- don’t feed wild animals. this can cause them to expect food from humans, which can be disastrous if they don’t get it

In general, just observe wild animals from a respectful distance. That’s it. That’s all you have to do.

ok it's misinformation debunking time.... Europeans knew about the concept of a printing press for quite a bit before Gutenberg came along... moveable type (the other thing Gutenberg is sometimes credited with) wasn't even a new concept, it's just the Chinese style of moveable type worked a word at a time (letting them get away with much softer materials for the moveable characters/words)... Gutenberg discovered/invented/developed (all the words kinda work depending on your opinions on Gutenberg's processes and metallurgy as a whole) an alloy of lead, tin, and antimony that was durable enough to get used for many thousands of prints, but also expanded slightly when it cooled in molds so it could actually be cast into fine shapes (as a side effect of having both lead and antimony it's also really toxic by today's safety standards)

there is also some debate about the possibility of Gutenberg developing an oil (instead of water) based ink that would stay on pages better and was thicker, which made printing easier, but I'm a tad suspicious of these claims

You have to open up the Chromebook to get to the actual circuit boards than either cut a jumper wire, add a jumper wire, remove a screw, add a screw, or remove the battery... Then restart the device into admin mode and turn off secure boot so you can boot from a USB
