hello!

this is just a brief intro post so that im less likely to be marked as spam, and also to introduce myself!

my name is Hayley. i'm an avid reader, lifelong learner, and aspiring writer. this may be a new tumblr, but ive had various tumblr accounts over the years, so im no newbie

this blog will be mostly focused on writing and reading. i love speculative fiction, especially women-centered sci-fi and fantasy. my favorite author is ursula k le guin, though i also love becky chambers, martha wells, octavia butler, tamsyn muir, rivers solomon, and sylvia moreno-garcia (just to name a few). i am currently working on two short stories (one fantasy, one sci-fi) and hope to start work on a novel soon (details still being determined, lol)
