I can’t believe it’s been a month of being open! Thank you to our wonderful writers for sticking around and creating a lively dashboard. Rachie and I adore scrolling through the dash throughout the week and seeing what everyone’s characters are up to. 🙂

Just adding a plug to check out our open characters since we’d love to see some new ones on the dash! We plan to release a few order members before our next plot drop so keep an eye out.

1/7 - Regulus Black’s birthday. (Sorry the rp started a day after this date)

1/9 - Daily Prophet article about the Malfoy gala is published. Reference to rising werewolf attacks.

1/15 - National Bagel Day. Free bagel with purchase of tea or coffee at the Leaky Cauldron and Madam Pudifoots.

1/17 - Ministry Speech Day. Antonin, Evan, and Laurent are expected to redeem their poor performance at the Malfoys’. Voldemort’s orders.

1/20 - Full Moon. Mainly effects Artemisia Selwyn but the purebloods are aware Voldemort has Fenrir on his side.

1/25 - Marlene Mckinnon’s birthday. There will be a small gathering at the Leaky Cauldron to celebrate.

1/30-2/1 - Knockturn Alley discount weekend. Percentage off/store participation up to shop owners.

2/5-2/8 - Lunar New Year Celebration, Hogsmeade. Hogsmeade is decked out for the Lunar New Year, welcoming the year of the rooster. Fireworks, a lantern festival, and parade are expected. Participation is highly discouraged by prominent pureblood families due to the overly public setting.

2/14 - Valentine’s Day. Local shops can be found decked out in pink, red, and white. Couples are encouraged to book ahead of time for highly sought after date locations.

Players are able to explore January 9th through February 15th. We will post a poll in the OOC to get a feel of when we want the next time shift or major plot drop to be.

NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS: James Potter

James was born as a long-awaited child to doting parents that struggled to conceive, wanting for nothing while growing up. The Potters raised their heir to be confident, caring deeply for their child and wanting the child to care similarly for others. It was no surprise that James made friends that lasted beyond Hogwarts.

Marrying shortly after Hogwarts hadn’t been part of James’ life plans. They hadn’t expected to fall so fast for Lily Evans. Of course, Lily hadn’t made it easy, but nothing that was worth having came easy. Most of society looked down upon James for their marriage to a muggleborn, but they did not care. They saw beyond what most others saw and could appreciate all the other amazing talents Lily had.

Losing Lily almost broke James. If Harry wasn’t in the picture, it likely would have broken them completely. There is no choice but to carry on for the sake of the baby and a desperate hope that the nightmare they are living in one day comes to an end.

Taking the mark was a matter of survival. No other reason to do so past ensuring it didn’t turn into losing Harry. James can feel everyone’s eyes on them and is doing whatever it takes to fly under the radar. They are certain death would have been the answer to saying no they wouldn’t take the mark, and know one wrong move may lead to eliminating the little bit of normalcy left in their life.
