Details:
- Stucky! Not until late in the book tho
- Hydra Peter
- Rescue and Recovery
- Steve and Bucky are pretty much dads
- Tony is the cool, fun uncle
- Nat is a boss bitch, as usual
- focus on gaining trust, and emotional connection
- 84k words, 10 Chapters
Why I Love It!
I really enjoyed the soft, comfortable writing style of this fic. Rather than having a lot of huge breakthrough moments of Peter’s recovery and opening up, it was more just small changes seen though Bucky or Steve’s POV that really gave light to the change in the boy’s attitude.
This was a very wholesome fic, and all of the interactions seemed on par with how the characters would act. The only complain I really have is that I wish the Stucky part had come earlier in the fic. But the author’s explanation through their characterization was really phenomenal. Just a lovely comfortable fic!

Peter Parker & The Avengers: Astronomy in Reverse by pansley on ao3
Synopsis: “A year after the Winter Soldier failed his mission in DC, Bucky Barnes is doing his best to stay under the radar from both Hydra and Steve Rogers. His hope for a peaceful day-to-day life in limbo goes awry, however, when he meets Queens’ newest hero; a pure-hearted kid with a death wish and a ridiculous pair of red and blue pajamas.
The last thing Steve expects when he finally tracks Bucky down is that, not only has the man been living in Queens all this time, right under his nose, but also that, in the two years since they last saw each other, Bucky somehow acquired a kid.
Alternatively: How Peter Parker effectively fucks over Bucky Barnes, and also totally saves him.”
Details:
- Bucky is Peter’s Dad!!
- Stucky!
- Tony Stark being a child in the best way
- Peter being adorable
- wholesome family moments
- the sweetest bonding montages
- growth, as a family
- 185k, 25 chapters
Why I Love It!
This was a pairing I was not expecting to enjoy so much! And yet, it was incredible. Witnessing Peter and Bucky come together into a family was incredible. It was also lovely to see Bucky interact with other people, outside of Peter, and witness how those relationships grew and changed because of Peter’s effect on Bucky.
I also very much enjoyed how the writing style flowed. The conflicts were anxiety-causing at points, but never so much that I had to break from the story’s immersion.
