I think one of the best things abt bad forcing aimsey to choose whether or not to kill/cure him is he knows hes not easy to kill, so them doing it cant be on accident, it cant be a spur of the moment decision, it has to be purposeful and have effort put into it.

Aimsey attempted to just shoot him when he wasnt looking and they did nothing to him, asked him to take his helmet off and he refused. He complied with looking up to the sky and they realized just how little damage they can do to him. He asked, "Is your resolve weakened?" and they ended the interaction with bad alive, leaving, and aimsey telling him there's nothing they can do about it and they just have to see what happens - although bad made it clear they could if they wanted to, it would just be hard. It would be a conscious choice, aimsey wouldn't be able to walk away and consider it a lapse in judgement it would be a moral shift entirely, and I think we saw the beginnings of that today !!

My favorite thing about Pangi wanting to force-cure Bad is that it most definitely will fail.

The cure is based on a sculk to corruption ratio that is different for each person: they have to know roughly how corrupted Bad is to try and make the correct cure; a feat that would be a lot easier if they could see his corruption, but they can't, His is all on the inside

he could be 20% corruption or 90% corruption, two very different percentages that would take two very different ratios in order to make the correct cure, and if they try and fail Bad could snap and try to kill them or at the very least be a lot more cautious of them and his surroundings making it even harder to try and force cure him in the future

People will say trPangi is wobbly about his morals regarding the cure and all but it makes perfect sense for him.

He has insight with how corruption changes you, takes over your mind and that's what he sees now in trBad. A completely different person and someone who's being consumed by it.

He's the only person who truly knows the way trPili functions, the mindscape, the lifetimes, the different versions of him. He's the one who trPili opened up to about living in tandem, cohabiting with the corruption. He would've considered the cure for Pili2 moreso, who he didn't understand and thought was just a corrupted version of the Pili he knows. The one and only Pili. Now he understands, he knows.

Ace is clear minded to him. Not just because he has all of his memories (which Pangi values a lot), but because as he said himself "Pili has learnt to coexist with the corruption, I don't think Bad can."

And he's right, Bad is letting it consume him, as far as they've seen. And Bad is being emptied by it, used as a vessel, made to do things he never would've otherwise,

I just had a realization, and I'm not sure how many other Ghosties have seen the anime Sakomoto Days (highly recommended). But something about House Heir Halo family reminds me of them.

Sakomoto Days is about a former assassin who creates his own found family of other former assassins and random people he saves.

It would make for a great Halo Family AU. If I wasn't in full writer's block I would consider writing it.
