"Pangopup on board! For the first few months of life, baby pangolins hitch a ride on their mother’s tail. If danger strikes, mom rolls into a protective ball, shielding her pup beneath her armored scales.
While pangolins rely on their mother’s milk at first, they begin eating ants and termites as early as one month old.
Despite being the most trafficked wild mammal on Earth, targeted for their meat and scales, there’s hope. 🌱 A growing movement within Traditional Chinese Medicine is embracing sustainable, effective plant-based alternatives to endangered animal products, including pangolin scales.
Change is possible — and it’s already happening!"

The Mexican hairy dwarf porcupine (Coendou mexicanus) is a small, nocturnal, arboreal rodent found from central Mexico to Panama in mixed-mountain and coniferous forests up to 3200 m elevation. They’re 50-80 cm including its prehensile tail & weighs 1.5-2.6 kg. Covered with long brown hair and yellowish quills, it forages mainly on fruits, leaves, seeds, and buds in the forest canopy. It is slow-moving, uses its tail to grasp branches, and is mostly solitary. Females usually give birth to a single offspring after a long gestation. Its habitat is threatened by deforestation.
