concept: au where dalla survives childbirth and mance truly does die in that fire (maybe stannis really can’t abide the oathbreaking); her almost putting jon’s eye out when he proposes the baby switch but it helps that her and gilly can at least comfort one another and know their children are with women they trust; almost a priestess figure and voice of the free folk, they start thinking of her as their queen in secret, as she’s edging her way into jon and stannis’ meetings to give them her anguish, teaching jon how to truly lead the wildlings; bitter with grief and angrily haunting castle black but still getting into screaming matches with melisandre about magic and sacrifice; hearing of arya stark and going, i know that song, with a sad smile, volunteering her services, maybe jon not letting her go because he values her counsel too much but she sneaks away anyway with a lute and a dagger and six women; and when the men at winterfell ask her name she sweetly says, lyanna, of the wolf’s den 💙 from down white harbour way 💙

Her gown mostly references Tully fashions (Sleeves, bodice detailing), but her bodice is elongated in reference/for Frey "old fashioned" style choices. She's dressed in pale greys and whites (what she would have worn to marry Rob/the gown that was made for her wedding to Rob) but with a very red rose bouquet ;).

I don't hate Ser Hyle Hunt but I also don't love him he is a solid 6/10 in my book like. what he is more than anything else is the funniest chad fratboy I've ever read about in my life. He is just so confident that he can get Brienne to marry him like. His marriage proposal is just "you could do worse and you know it, I'm a perfectly good option to settle on" but like. Said with Complete Confidence. well ok it's because he is aware that he's a 6/10 but he also is aware that Brienne doesn't get much in the way of suitors so he figures she'll take a 6/10 rather than be alone . Since the last time he ****horrifically toyed with her heart for a stupid bet**** Brienne has been on a main character glow up journey of epic proportions and he's just been Ser Hyle Hunt and he doesn't understand that in the slighest. Jaime's been jumping into bear pits for Brienne and like. giving her valyrian steel and and armor and this and that and Hyle KNOWS this becaus he sees it and he's like. Not even apologizing about the bet or doing any sorts of grand acts of service and he's still like. Meh. I'm the one she'll go with. We have to love the confidence.

I like the idea of joncon & ashara being friends! they were in the same friend group in kings landing, they danced together….. joncon also is one of the only characters to give us info on arthur dayne that isn’t super idealized & romanticized..... I hope he gives us something similar about ashara too in twow!

love that jaime goes from yelling about stabbing loras in front of the kingsguard for threatening brienne to companionably sharing a glass of wine with him over the white book bc loras was willing to drop his accusations against brienne. like, that’s all it takes?

I kind of love it, they just immediately fall into some sort of big bro/little bro dynamic without ever having met each other before. like straightaway they wanna fight but also. perhaps hang out some time
