But this tiny little detail also humanizes Caitlyn and Vi so much, they already did a great job of making them realistic but this is the cherry on top! the hesitation, the tiniest little movement of the hand, Caitlyn reaching out- its so real and special to me..i'm choosing to believe that Vi did that on purpose, wanting to but ultimately shying away from touching her in a moment of such intimacy and vulnerability, thank god Cait noticed and took it as her cue to do something about it..
On the off chance that someone reads this... I just had a thought.
What if Aloy killed one of Seyka's friends or something back when she was searching for Demeter? 馃槼
Will that ever come up. Please no.
I just feel like the Quen very quickly forgot that Aloy killed a ton of their soldiers - in SELF DEFENSE, however surely some of them would still hold that against her, considering they only had each-other and probably were friends and/or family... I hope the creators haven't thought this deeply into it 馃槶
I really hope that in Star Trek Legacy or whatever it would be called, there's a whole arc with Seven dealing with the loss of Icheb because I don't think she ever really did. Or I at least hope they mention him every now and then and that he's not forgotten :')
Rewatching Stardust City Rag and I'm just continually struck that the episode's prologue is the last time we will ever see Seven's hair in a coiffed bun.
This is the last time we will see a version of Classic Voyager!Seven of Nine.
Even her clothes are soft, she's not wearing her leather jacket aka 'armor' yet.
And now she's looking at Icheb and instantly, she clocks his status. She can't not, her Borg implants give it to her against her will. And her perfect recall will remind Seven of this exact moment forever.
Maybe this is why she started drinking heavily so she can stop remembering.
Seven still tries to reassure Icheb even though they both know it might be fruitless to do so. At this moment, it is not irrelevant to give him comfort and assurance.
But Icheb already knows.
And he begs Seven to end it, he was carved and hollowed out and Icheb wasn't even given the mercy of an anesthetic.
And this, this moment is the last time Seven has a semblance of innocence.
Seven: Was there anything you could've done to prevent it?
Rios: No, I guess there wasn't.
Seven: Hmm. Then I win.
And then there's this moment between Rios and Seven where still blames herself for Icheb. It wasn't her fault no matter how much she thinks it is.
It's the part where Seven says "I win". My heart breaks for Seven all over again. This was all on Bjayzl but no matter what anyone said, Seven will carry this guilt with her.
I wish Raffi and Seven got to talk about it, Raffi got Elnor back but Icheb is forever lost to Seven.
I know they only had 10 episodes but I wish there was also time to include Seven in the theme of parents and children because she's still very much a part of that group.
