“leo..sleep now.” you mumble into your pillow as he babbles on about god knows what.

“can we watch a movie?” he asks, coiling one of your curls around his index.

“no.. ‘m tired..”

“your always tired!”

though your pleas fall on unlistening ears as he continued to ask for a movie, laying his head on your shoulder.

“please, you won’t even have to do anything, just lay here with me!” he whines, looking up at you with big brown eyes.

your will to finally sleep after a long day at camp still won over his offer though, “valdez, sleep.. or be quiet.”

“‘m not tired,” he said in a childish tone, pouting at your words.

he’d been trying to keep you awake, wanting to watch a movie like you’d agreed to earlier during the day, but after today, you just wanted to fall into your fathers arms.

so instead of listening to his whining, you chose to ignore it, in hopes he’d soon fall asleep as well.

it wouldn’t stop his wining, but at least he’d get tired of being ignored and hopefully sleep too.

he pulls his head back from your chest, only to look up to see you laying there with a quiet huff, ignoring him.

he was tempted to whine again, but you probably wouldn’t listen to him. which just made him more frustrated.

he groans and buries his head into your neck again, while muttering spanish curses into your skin.

he continues to grumble and whine into your neck for another 15 minutes or so, holding on to you tightly as he keeps complaining about random, most likely petty, things.

his complaining and rambling slowly became quieter as he gets more tired.

ater around half an hour of this, his grip on you and his constant yappering came to a slow stop, just leaving his quiet snores to take its place.

“..g’night sweet boy,” you mumble smugly into his hair, kissing his head, once then twice before slowly following him into unconsciousness.
