Today's post is brought to you by Fuerza Bruta, a crazy, amazing, take your breath away kind of show in NYC. I went last year with a few friends, and had an unforgettable experience that I would most certainly love to be apart of again if I had the chance. It is described on their website as "a nonstop collision of dynamic music, visceral emotion and kinetic aerial imagery." Awesome right? I did not have the pleasure of seeing it, but Usher performed with them last year! The show is so powerful, full of life, and overall, the coolest thing I've ever seen. There were pools above our heads, people climbing up walls, and being swung across the room above us. In this photo you are witnessing one of performers floating in a pool where the ceiling ought to be. If you are in or near the NYC area I highly suggest taking the time to see this show. Trust me, it's worth it. (And if you do decide to go, prepare to get a little wet).

A few weeks ago I had the amazing opportunity to shoot an engagement session with a beautiful vintage Volkswagen Bus. Now I'm sure most of you are looking at the image and thinking "beautiful? Is this chick crazy?" The answer to that is yes, and no. I have loved Volkswagens for as long as I can remember, I currently drive one and have owned others that I simply adored. Unfortunately, I have never been lucky enough to get my hands on a vintage Volkswagen like the one that Candice and Tom own, because most other people who own older Volkswagens are just as obsessed as me and keep them for years and years. This particular bus was owned by Tom's father, and has been in his family for 15 years (see what I mean?) I was ecstatic when Candice informed that they had the bus, and was jealous that I could drive it home with me. Today's color your life is inspired by VW love, and my inner hippie. It's Monday, embrace your inner hippie too. I know it's in there.

TGIF! Hooray for Friday! Unfortunately this weekend I am not going on any exciting weekend getaways, but for those of you ladies who are headed out for some R&R by the beach, here's some style inspiration for you straight from Plymouth, MA; the home of Plymouth Rock, yes that's right, THE Plymouth Rock. If you have been reading my blog for the past few weeks, you'll know that Brent's mom lives very close to the beach out in Massachusetts. (If you haven't been reading, shame on you!) Plymouth is approximately a 30 to 40 minute drive from where she lives, and a few years ago I had the pleasure of visiting it for the first time. I was able to see what's left of the rock itself, and a replica of the Mayflower (so cool!) It was a little history lesson, which I clearly needed brushing up on, and as someone who as lived in New England her entire life, I think it's a must see.

Wherever you're going this weekend, and whatever you're doing, do it in style. And if you haven't been to Plymouth yet, plan a trip! What are you waiting for?

Charleston is a beautiful place as I've mentioned before, and the best part is you can tour the whole city on foot! Yes, I'm still obsessing over Charleston, but I promise you it's well warranted, I mean it was named the top city in the US! Welcome back to another compilation of beautiful wedding photos by moi! This wedding was the first wedding I shot as a lead photographer, and it was the first elopement I shot as well. Helen & Eugene are not originally from Connecticut, so it was hard for them to get everyone together for their wedding which is why they decided to go it alone (don't worry though, they had a big party planned for later). They were married at the beautiful Elizabeth Park in Hartford, and I was honored to be apart of their special day. Enjoy!

Good morning / afternoon everyone! Today's color your life is a little different than any other I've posted before, because it's important to change things up from time to time, and because I loooove food! Not only do I love food, but I'm obsessed with everything blueberry flavored, so it only made sense to have a post dedicated to delicious blueberry foods. Today's photo comes from Rose's Berry Farm in Glastonbury, where Brent and I had brunch with a view one Sunday morning. After eating our delicious brunch outside on the deck, we walked around the farm and I took photos of the gorgeous landscape. I hope everyone is having a great week, and going for the gold as Mr. T (yesterday's post) has told us to do. Stay fabulous, and eat blueberries (they're very good for you.)

I want to start off this week with an inspirational quote from Mr. T himself.

"I believe in the Golden Rule. The man with the gold, rules."

Mr. T wants us all to go for the gold, (at least that's the message I'm taking from that quote.) It's the beginning of the week, don't let anything get in your way of being fabulous. Go for the gold, and you will rule. Mr. T pities any fool who doesn't take charge of their goals and dreams. Who would have thought that this A team cast member would ever give us life & style inspiration, but here we are, and honestly I think you should take his words to heart; the man's got style, what can I say.

This graffitti wall has been apart of a few photo sessions I've had in the past, and when I came across this during Megan's session I couldn't help but snap a photo. I truly love grafitti and think this work is a masterpiece, I could never do anything like that, and for that I am super jealous. I guess I can be thankful for my talent in photography, because now I'll be able to appreciate this image forever. I'm sure the next time I go to the grafitti wall it will be painted over, I suppose that comes with the territory of being a grafitti artist. I'm glad that I was able to share it with you all, and I hope you like it as much as I do.

This post is dedicated to all you jet setters out there, current and future, because there's a jet setter in all of us I know it. You've just got to let it out, and be adventurous. For those of us on the east coast, summer is all about spending as much time outdoors as we can, soaking up the sun and becoming one with nature (or at least, that's what it's about for me). We don't have much time with the warm weather here, so we have to take advantage of it while we can. I took this photo in Washington DC a few years ago during a tour of the gorgeous botanical gardens, because you know, I love me some nature walks.

We've finally made it to the weekend, TGIF - and those who have worked hard in their cubicles all week deserve a little weekend getaway. And if you don't work in a cubicle but you've worked hard all week, you deserve a vacation as well! Initially I had no idea what I was going to write with this post, but then that trusty little lightbulb in my head lit up and I thought OH! The phrase on the keychain in the image "Always in my heart" reminds me of Phil Collins "You'll be in my heart", and boy do I love me some Phil Collins and Tarzan (the Disney version of course). From there I thought of other song lyrics that had the word heart in them, and now here we are, with a handful of cute things with hearts on them, and a bunch of song lyrics about looove; because really love is all you need. I hope you got a kick out of my creativity for this post, and hopefully the last quote made you smile, or even laugh. How many song lyrics were you able to recognize? No cheating!

Happy hump day, and happy wedding Wednesday! Today's wedding is near and dear to my heart, because that handsome groom you see is my cousin Marvin. He's practically a big brother to me, and I was honored to be the lead photographer at his wedding capturing these amazing moments with his beautiful bride Jillian. Marvin and Jillian met in college and couldn't be more perfect for each other. I love them both with all my heart, and couldn't be happier that they are spending the rest of their lives together.

I apologize ahead of time, but I'm still on a little Charleston kick, and rightfully so I must add. It was named the #1 city in the US by Travel & Leisure, and now Explore Charleston is giving away one trip per month for the next twelve months. Also, if you haven't noticed yet I'm obsessed with going on vacation. Honestly, I wish my life was one big vacation (but who doesn't?) I've been to Charleston twice already, and if I could live there right this second I would pack all my belongings, throw my little dog in the car and high tail it to the South. Unfortunately, that's not happening so I'll stay put and dream of winning 12 contests in a row, wearing all of my cute accessories (sorry, I'm greedy; I'll take a different friend each time, I promise.)

Today's photo comes from Taco Boy, downtown not Folly Beach, where they've got a mean baja fish taco, the margaritas are on point, and the nachos are so phenomenal I could eat two orders myself (not really, but I certainly would try). No other taco / Mexican restaurant that I've been to holds a candle to what Taco Boy has to offer. The last time we visited Charleston we went there twice, so I thought it was worthy of a blog feature.

Recently Charleston, South Carolina was voted the Top City in the U.S. and Canada in the Travel + Leisure 2013 World’s Best Awards. Let me just start off by saying, it deserves it. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love Charleston, and how imperative it is that you visit this magnificent place at least once in your life. I’ve been twice already in the past year, and I’m dying to go back again already. And to think, Brent went to college there for four years, I’m incredibly jealous!

I love absolutely everything about Charleston. From the southern hospitality, to the delicious sweet tea, it truly is one of the best places I’ve ever been, (and trust me, I’ve been to some pretty nice places). One day I dream of being a southern wedding photographer, living in Charleston taking photos of beautiful couples on Rainbow Row which is pictured above. Until then (it’s in my five year plan) I’ll dream, and reminisce through the photos from my last trips. Good morning, good morning. It’s finally Friday! TGIF. If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been obsessing over the beach this whole week. I just can’t help it, I love a little (or a lot) of R&R. When I woke up this morning it was a little chilly, so I couldn’t help but dream of being back on those sandy beaches with my feet in the water.

I took this photo on our last day at the beach. I woke up early, took the dog out for a walk and soaked up some rays while I enjoyed my alone time. There’s nothing more peaceful than connecting with nature, hearing the waves crash and feeling the sand beneath my feet.

Hopefully this weekend you’ll be able to find your little slice of heaven, I know I’ll be wishing I was back at the beach. This time last week I was at the beach (which is where today's photo was taken), basking in the sunshine and enjoying the long holiday weekend. This week not so much, but I obviously still have the beach on my mind. I'll be honest, life is great when your boyfriend's mother lives 4 houses away from the ocean. Since we've been dating I've been obsessed with beach life, and dream of the day when I can myself live by the beach. For now, I'll only dream and decorate my future beach house in the meantime (thank goodness for Pinterest!).

Today's post is dedicated to summer, vacations, and time at the beach....because who wouldn't want an awesome house that's walking distance from the ocean right off of Surf Ave; I know I would.
