racism in star wars: a list of resources

important things to note

everything with a permalink is free and available to read or listen to online while most of the books are available to buy or read through different pdf-hosting websites. some of these resources do not pertain specifically to star wars but fandoms in general. in addition, some of these resources also deal with antisemitism and islamophobia in star wars.

this is in no means whatsoever the be all and end all of all the instances of racism within the vast and plentiful star wars properties, but what i think is a solid foundation in understanding how star wars is racist and the ramifications of that in real life and in fandom spaces. i know that we all know that star wars has long standing history of racism but it is still too prevalent in the content and fandom spaces today. by compiling a list of as many accessible resources my hope is that fans, especially white ones, take a more critical and empathetic approach on how they engage with the content and fans of colour.
