My first Westy 12.

I never really sought out this brew, despite its reputation and scarcity. It just never seemed worth the effort.

It was f@%&ing spectacular.

Yes, I took some Pliny the Elder to China...

Just before our trip to China, it occurred to me that my checked baggage was well under the weight limit. And, I just happened to have 4 remaining bottles from my last case of Pliny. 

They were rationed throughout my trip, with the last one cracked after hiking just beyond the 5th tower south of our entrance to The Great Wall, beyond where any other tourist had visited (so far) that morning.

Totally worth it.

Distribution in the bay area has begun.

"Cask Strawberry" from Sante Adairius. A solera-style saison with strawberries.

Bottle share finished strong with a Bruery Grey Monday bottle chug. This is becoming a bit of a tradition at Grape & Grain.

SF Beer Week highlight: Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break variations: Lil B, Biscotti, Natale, Doughnut and the elusive Bourbon Barrel Aged.

Followed up immediately by Drake's Hopocalypse Black Label, Cellarman from Sante Adairius & Triple Rock and Cellarmaker's Original Dankster (best name ever). It's going to be a great week.
