The 2024 season for the Dodgers will be interesting with their two new additions, Ohtani and Yamamoto. Both Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto are officially with the Los Angeles Dodgers, after signing a 10-year 700-million dollar contract and 12-year 325-million dollar contract, respectively. Shohei has proved himself to be a phenomenal baseball player over the years, with both his pitching and hitting abilities. He’s been chosen to be to be in the All-Star games for three consecutive years, as well as having just received his 2023 American League MVP award, at the 99th Baseball Writers’ Dinner. After he heals, entirely, Shohei will be an incredible asset for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ohtani, also, chose to defer a majority of his new salary, which may have helped his new teammate, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, to choose the Dodgers as well. Yoshinobu has been scouted by the Dodgers since he was a teenager and once he became a free agent, the LA Dodgers knew they had to pick him up. Both of these new Dodgers have an incredible baseball history that will, hopefully, get the entire team a World Series win.
