      We are very proud to announce that the Institute of War has re-opened its gates and is accepting applications. The IoW is a literate text based roleplay group based on the universe of the popular MOBA, League of Legends! For those who are unfamiliar with the concept: we aim to create a balanced, reliable group for those who wish to participate in a writing community where effort and dedication are both heavily valued.

      Whether you have tried your hand at the art of roleplay or not, we only ask that you be familiar with the character of your choice and very well in touch with how they are played. Original characters that are thoroughly thought out are also being accepted! Below, you can see the all the open character slots under the masterlist link. The Institute of War currently has the large majority of its champions open!

      We are very proud to announce that the Institute of War has started its very first AU! Are you interested in participating in Runeterra’s zombie apocalypse? Do you fancy bludgeoning the undead and making allies you and your Champion might never have thought you might? Do you want to explore what happens to the Institute when its fate lies in the hands of the remaining Champions? Or are you just in it for the chance to be turned, and the opportunity to eat them?

       This AU is open to members of the IoW only.

To those who are interested in our Zombie AU!

You Will need to make a side blog I'm restating only because I have made my own as an example. Here it is, its not perfect because I threw it together like.. and hour before work. 

I obviously have a test post up right now, but thats just a vague example of what YOU should do.  That test post will probably turn into an open starter post, fyi. SO IF YOU'RE INTERESTED BY ALL MEANS REBLOG IT, FROM YOUR ZOMBIE BLOGS OF COURSE. We still are trying to see if anyone is interested in the thing which you all really should be we spent a lotta time trying to work this all out and stuff   so until we get a good idea on that number odds are we wont be officially starting up for a moment or two. After all, we need both the undead and survivors!

This is all subject to change of course, as myself and Rivenmod are still learning right alongside you guys. Keep an eye out for any new announcements from either myself or Riv and remember: we're ~*~*ALWAYS*~*~ looking for feedback from you guys on everything so please, share away!

So it took us forever and for that we are very sorry, but we're very happy to finally introduce IoW's very first AU! We're super excited to get this going and we've put a lot of work into making it all snazzy and clear. Interested parties should totally jump into the ask box, and we can get the ball rolling! If there are any questions about the AU or how it will be run, feel free to ask! 

Institute of Zombies: An IoW League of Legends AU!

     Once upon a time, Bob the Institute Poro decided to go exploring beyond of the Abyss. The sun’s rays reflected off the large leaf the fluffy creature had taken shelter under to enjoy the day, and there was a soft breeze that made a good job stopping his voluminous fur from overheating his miniature body. All in all, it was a good day.

     That was, until the first dark cloud began to creep from the horizon. Disheartened, our little hero peeked out from under his leafy canvas and beady eyes squinted into the distance. What he saw filled his tiny heart with dread. A green cloud seemed to roll over the lush vegetation of Runeterra, spreading closer to the Institute’s walls with every second. The dreadful advance was accompanied with groans and moans and the thunder of lifeless feet upon the once lush soil that seemed to withdraw into the depths of the land beneath their steps.

     The zombies are approaching.

Hello kat mod here! Sorry for my absence, ended up being busy with a few things unexpectedly. A couple things for everyone to know:

Firstly, I'm 'officially' revoking the whole anarchy allowed rule. The rules are how they were before and that includes refraining from rping outside of the group. If you have any questions regarding those rules, please message me by all means!

Secondly, one of the reasons I have been AWOL is ACTUALLY because I'm planning an event with Riven Mun for the IoW! Its a group AU event and we're really trying to make it special? Think the groups slow right now? Perhaps this is the thing the group needs?

Thirdly, Riven mun is also a mod. Any questions you might have for me can also be taken by them and so on!

Lastly, I'm going to do what I can to advertise more, but if a few of you wanna help 'kickstart' some things while RivenMod and I finish forming this event for you that would be much appreciated! I intend on reblogging the group invitation thread where I can and I can post it here so those of you who might need it can find it for use.

Apologies that its taking so long, but we're trying to make sure our group event has as few holes as possible! Also life. Please, if you will, like this post so I know you have seen it. Jax has been accepted!

Desired Character: Jax

Desired personality: For the reigning champion and holder of the nigh-unbeatable record of wins, the Grandmaster at Arms doesn’t take himself very seriously. Instead of perfecting his form or increasing his power or even making a name for himself in the political world, Jax would much rather relax by the riverside and fish all day. This, of course, is all under the premise that he has already proven himself to the the best there is, and has no need to further prove himself.

This does lead him to behave towards others as though he is their superior, though in a much more relaxed tone than as a mentor. Particularly towards Wukong and Fiora, where the burly fighter acts more as an uncle than a rival.

Though cocky, arrogant, and something of a womanizer, he’s got a heart of gold and is always up for a friendly wager. He tends to cheat though, so beware when you start laying gold and favors down on the table.

Honestly, I was going to message you and ask if you wanted the group because you're the closest to me and Ryde and hell, we don't talk anymore but you've always been a cool cat and I mean don't get me wrong, I trust all IoW members, but obviously I'm going to lean more towards you since you literally live with the person I started this with, hahaha.

I'm just making super huge changes in my life right now and I might have time for some roleplay posts but I definitely don't have the time to be in charge of a group and it puts a lot of unnecessary stress on me. Maybe it's not so much that I want to leave IoW but just need help and someone to take it off my hands for a bit? I think you have my skype (tifanthrax) and I'm not on at the moment but I'll try to be on later or whenever you can so we can discuss it more. 

I also believe you'd be a good mod 'cause if I recall correctly you and Riv are pals and that's already a great start 'cause I remember one of you two saying you discussed plots and such. If IoW does end up in your hands I just ask that you let me know about some stuff and changes so I can stay kept up with it all, even though my presence probably won't be around as much. 

I should've probably sent this message privately to you but we'll continue the rest of the conversation on skype if you want or if you're even interested in it, haha. It's also a good heads up for the remaining community, too, I guess.

Instituteofwarrp hiatus:

Welll..

Things are changing in my life right now and I honestly don't know if I'll be able to keep up with IoW/my characters. I've really thought about passing on the handle to someone else but considering that I didn't make this group alone, I'd hate to disrespect the original mod by doing so.

I really don't know what the future of IoW will be, but at this point you guys are welcome to do whatever you want. Fuck all of the rules, put Runeterra in anarchy, yadda yadda. 

I just don't think I'll be able to watch over this thing for awhile or be a huge part of it, but I'd hate to let it go completely. But giving it to someone else isn't an option, either! So... sorry, guys. 

Feel free to reign hell while I'm coming in and out through the institute. Be your own mods for the time being, do what you guys.. BUT there is one rule that remains in effect: respect your fellow muns. Always! 

Maybe one more: I don't know if I should be allowing IoW characters to roleplay outside of the current verse or not. 

When I started this group, I wanted to build a storyline that continues the legacy of the original League lore, but the real damn truth in that is that it's impossible. Why do I keep coming back to this group, outside of the wonderful players we have? I have no idea.

I apologize for being a shit mod and that I wasn't able to do much, but I've tried my hardest to keep IoW up so all of you could have somewhere to play out your roles in an orderly fashion. I seem to be succeeding in some ways but failing in others. :/

But now? Until I can find the time and responsibility to lead the group, you're now the group leaders. Yep, all of you. Do what you want to your heart's content as long as it respects all players and doesn't drag the IoW idea down completely.

Thank you all for staying and playing with us! I really don't know if I'll be allowing applications in the mean time, but it doesn't hurt to ask! We can talk it all out.

If you feel that IoW has fallen too quiet and wish to to roleplay with people outside the group (or god forbid, characters from different series) please message me! I'll consider the idea as long as we talk out some do's and don'ts. 

And just a heads up, my characters in IoW are Evelynn and Leona. I'll try to log in at least a couple of times a week to reply but I can't promise anything.

Introducing IoW ask box memes!

Here's another new feature we'll be trying out! I asked a question on my OOC blog earlier and got a few opinions on it and hey, why not try it out for a few days

Before we start, here's a set of rules! Which, by the way, might change in the next few days.. so be sure to keep an eye on that! 

No spamming memes on the dash! Queue them up if you have to, but please don’t spam one by one, by one, by one on the dashboard.

One meme allowed per day during Monday through Friday.

During the weekend, you’ll be allowed to reblog as many as you want throughout the weekend. The spam rule will still be in effect for these 2 days. One at a time, kiddos! Wait an hour (or a few!) before reblogging another one.

Mod's suggestion for memes per day, on weekends? 5.

You are ONLY allowed to reblog askbox memes from this sideblog!

IF you have found a meme that you think would be good for the group, or would like to submit your own, please submit the meme or the link to the meme to our ask blog so I can reblog it! You can do this by clicking here.
