“I honestly have no clue. Something about proving the entire medical community wrong. I think the surgeon’s kind of on a power trip and is disregarding the safety of the operation, as well as the Hippocratic Oath.”
“But, no this can’t happen. Why? Why does this have to happen?”

“I rarely joke, Simmons. Yes, the head transplant will occur and no, I don’t think it’ll work.”

{ OOC }
I'm having a really hard time conjuring up my muse lately, so I've decided to place Frey on semi-hiatus, in hopes that they'll come back to me. If you still want to RP with me, I have a couple other muses I'll list below. I don't know why my muse hasn't been cooperating very well for this particular character, and I apologize. I hope to RP with you elsewhere while we wait for my muse to come back from la-la Land!

Frey smiled awkwardly at Claire, knowing that if they said anything, it would sound absolutely ridiculous.
Frey nods at Claire's question, and immediately flips to the page number that was shouted at the students, not two minutes ago. Frey adds in the ashwinder egg, and then puts the cauldron on heat and then puts in the horseradish. Frey figures they can take turns with ingredients, but just to clarify, they dare to ask it out loud.
"Um, I was thinking that we could just trade off putting ingredients in, that okay?"
Advanced Potions || [ CLOSED ]
It is not that surprising to see the students of Ravenclaw gathered together in the Potion classroom, but Claire is surprised to see that quite a few of her own housemates are here with her too. Focused she follows Professor Snape’s movements and listens to his words as he introduces the class in Advanced Potions. She is honestly quite excited to start the class as Potions is one of her favourites and best subjects too.
However, she cannot help but let the smile falter slightly when the professor decides to pair up the class mixing the houses together. As if it is not hard enough for her to feel at home with the Badgers now she has to try and engage with the Ravenclaws too? She bites her lip and looks around trying to find someone to pair up with. It should not be that difficult, when first arrived to the castle and with the Sorting Hat on her head it did mention that she could be in Ravenclaw too, so maybe interacting with those students would not be that hard after all?
She bites her lip as she makes her way towards a lonely Ravenclaw student and feels slightly encouraged when the other sends her a smile. As soon as she arrives to the table she heard professor Snapes’ voice and quickly turns to the page he instructed them to go to.
Looking up at the other when she hears them starting to introduce themselves Claire sends them a small smile and nods. "Nice to meet you Frey." she nods at the other before biting her lip again and looks at the pages in front of her. "My name is Claire Phillips…. Uhh… Hufflepuff." she says not looking up from the pages and makes the same mistake as the other telling her own house as well.
Biting her lip her eyes wander over the recipe before looking at the different ingredients the other already has on the table. "I guess we should just get started?" she looks up to meet the other’s eyes briefly and sends them a light smile.

Frey smiles up at Cooper, "Thanks, Cooper." On these missions- any mission, really -tensions are high and the stakes are even higher, and Frey just really needs assurance that they aren't going to mess anything up.
They get up from their desk and walk over to the navigational screens, "How far to Miller?"
“Some days I think I’m dying, but I’m really only trying to get through.”
Cooper frowned, fingers carding through his hair, more of a fidgeting nature than anything else. His eyes met hers softly, a slight frown on his lips — a fatherly one.
”..maybe y’need to slow down a little. ‘s no good to you run yourself ragged.”

"It's not that I'm trying to figure it out... I just-" Frey pauses, looking for the right words, "It's like there's two 'Me's and one of them is the dashing and confident- at least, convincingly fakely confident -and the other is the shy, awkward bookstore clerk that can barely hold a conversation." Frey sighs, exasperated by the situation, "I'm never both at the same time. I'm either the knight or the clerk, and there's almost no in-between times." Frey's case had been quite odd. All of the others had remembered who they were, and their personalities realigned themselves to match their real selves. But for Frey, that wasn't how it worked. Frey had initially reverted back to their Enchanted Forest self, but then flipped back after a couple of days. The flipping continued, and over time, Frey became more and more frustrated. Frustrated with life, frustrated with the damn curse, and frustrated with everything. "When I'm one person, I know that I am the other person as well... but the other person is like... well, someone else. A stranger."
+4

"It’s difficult," she admitted. Somehow, she’d managed to merge parts of her former self - the confidence and that fiery aspect that cursed Ruby had always carried with her - with who she’d been in the Enchanted Forest. Ruby now was an amalgamation of both; she would always be both. But some had had much more difficult marrying one part with the other. "Sometimes I’m more Red than Ruby; sometimes it’s the opposite. Most of the time, I’m both. Both are part of who I am, but it’s okay if you don’t feel that. It’s okay if you’re still trying to figure it out,” she assured Frey. After all, there was no one way to deal with the curse Regina had cast upon them. “Thanks.” Ruby could help the smile that graced her lips. “I’d like to think so. But Snow never needed much guidance. She was always so level-headed.”

"Woah, le's slow down a little, Motormouth. I'll hap- pily accompany you to hot chocolate as well."
“Sure! That sounds like a brilliant idea! Can we get chocolate, too? Oh! And something warm, since it’s so snowy out!”

If you're a fan of more Y.A./Teen Fiction type books, I can definetly point you towards a few. I recommend Every Day by David Levithan. A bit sappy, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. If you're more of a historical fiction fan, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak is great read about the Holocaust, and what it's like to grow up in Germany at the time. And for fantasy, Pendragon by D.J. MacHale is an excellent series, and terribly addicting. Be prepared for a 10 book monstrosity if you get hooked. I'm always open for book-talk if you want to speak more!
I need book recommendations.
Belle and I need some recommendations for 2 more audiobooks to get from Audible. So— suggestions?

Frey nodded sadly, "I kind of feel that too. Fitz was... Fitz was a very special man. And sometimes... sometimes it just doesn't recognize that he's-he's not going to be around anymore."

"I mean exactly what I said," she murmured, tone dropping to barely more than a whisper. "It doesn’t hurt. I don’t feel- I’m not in pain. I’m just empty.”

Frey sees the other cadet panic a little, and relaxes. She obviously didn't mean any harm. Their first assessment that she probably didn't know enough English to get her point across was probably correct.
"I-I think I understand. You mean that in a more, erm, poetic sense. right?"

[+internkerouac] [for Interstellar verse B]
Marie knew that to the human mind, first impressions were perhaps the most important part of meeting someone new. As a too-sure of herself student back in France, she had come up with her with her own universal first-greeting. “vous êtes un particulier”, which translated to “You are an individual.”

Seeing Frey’s reaction, she frowned slightly. Was she confused by the greeting, or uncomfortable with it? Had something been lost in translation? Had Marie’s English failed her? Not knowing whether to direct it at herself or Frey, Marie became frustrated and quickly attempted to re-iterate herself.
"No, sorry—what I mean: out of the many here, you are standing apart."
