It's really unfair to the trucks the way people have bred for an aggressive appearance! Not only do breeds of American trucks these days often suffer from poor vision or fuel efficiency throughout their lives, but the breeding for aggressive appearance has also selected for aggressive temperament. Doesn't help that so many handlers don't respect the automotive's needs or try to push it into aggressive situations. Super sad! If your family is looking for a truck see if you can get an older breed maybe?
Man, the state of American truck breeding has gotten so unethical. They’re so far removed from their working breed roots on top of that most truck owners do not need a working breed. Trucks used to be powerful but sleek. Now they’re just heft to no purpose.
The older lines were able to lift huge loads without superfluous bulk. They were also easier to load and unload with low beds. The new lines are so tall that getting them loaded is actually harder.
Not to mention temperament has gotten way out of hand. Trucks used to be incredibly docile- for such a large automotive a good disposition was paramount to the breed. But the current lines are unacceptably territorial, making them a danger to other cars around them.
The very tall hoods also pose a real risk to their handlers and pedestrians, I think the trucks get skittish about how little visibility they have and act out which is unfair to them and those they threaten out of fear.
I just wish people would think before pushing for unreasonable breed standards. They’re definitely falling into form over function and it’s such a shame.

Schwarzenegger winning seemed like the most embarrassing thing that would ever happen in politics at the time and now he’s to the left of every elected Republican and a few Democrats and just makes videos going “young men, my fadda was a Nazi and he was a contemptible loosah”

I was talking to my mom the other day, and she said she was going to start going to the gym, because its important care for your body. I’m disabled w/ multiple chronic illnesses, so going to the gym is impossible for me. She seemed to realize this, and started to backtrack, saying like - its part of taking care of herself, and I interrupted and said, “Its okay mom. You and I taking care of ourselves look very different”. And thats what I would like you to know.
Taking care of yourself looks different.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like fruit smoothies and gym visits, cutting out sugar and weight training.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like hospital visits, feeding tubes and ports. Needles and tests.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like taking medication and lying down in a cool dark room.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like getting any calories in their body that they can.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like adding in more vegetables and trying to go outside to get sun more often.
For some people, taking care of themselves looks like seeing a therapist, keeping symptom journals, and practicing mindfulness, meds, or grounding techniques.
We all have different needs. Please don’t feel bad about how you care for yourself just because someone else is able to do “more”, or their care is more performative or obvious. Please don’t look down on someone for caring for themselves in a way that you do not. Medication and rest are just as important as exercise and vegetables.
Keep doing your best to care for yourself, the best way you know how. Your self care and health is important, no matter what it looks like.

Hiding government and public services to reduce how much they're used and "prove" that they're unneeded is a tried and true Republican technique. It's not a conspiracy, these things are deliberately made difficult to access to discourage people from using them because "more use = more funding" and "less use = less funding" is how public service funding is generally decided.
Musk outright lying about "deleting" a whole IRS program for low income tax filing is just a progression of common Republican tactics. Don't fall for it.

I think actually after the OTC Mark S. is literally willing to risk his own existence to save Gemma, now that he knows she's a real person in both his realities and trapped by Lumon and could have a chance of escape... He says he'll take her to the stairwell and his outie will know what to do. That could totally mean the end of Mark S. And he's ok with it if it will save Gemma and help outie Mark - but before he goes, why not bone Helly R., because they both want to and they love each other, and he may have to leave her to save Gemma, but at least whatever happens to Helly she can take with her that Mark S. loved her
😭😭😭
tbh I don't really understand the whole "innie mark is a cheater for sleeping with helly/helena while knowing Gemma is alive" like. I think the whole point of the show is that it is MUCH more complicated than that. the innie mark did not know Gemma. he had no idea she even existed for the vast majority of his existence. he has no romantic feelings for Gemma or for Ms. Casey because in his mind he has only ever had a single "real" conversation with the latter. like yeah he's aware Ms. Casey is here and that she's married to his outie, but he has a pretty distinct sense of self at this point and does not identify himself as Mark Scout. He doesn't self-identify as the former history professor who tragically lost his wife. He's Mark S, and he's head of macrodata refinement, and all he wants is his friends to stay together. his friends, Irving B., Dylan G., and Helly R.

Yep I've seen this ad a bunch and it's just like, if you don't need zip recruiter u feel glad u don't and hope not to have to use it, or if you're using it cuz u really need a job it probably makes u feel bad?? Not a good ad imo
Has anyone else seen that Severance/ZipRecruiter commercial? You just KNOW a marketing executive thought that was going to be hilarious and tongue in cheek but instead it just comes across as 😬

Yes, they're gonna keep saying "federal service x is gone" before they can actually shut it down. And not everything is gonna get shut down - ppl are pushing back, judges are blocking these orders, heroic federal workers are continuing to do their jobs as long as they can. And ordinary people can do our part by continuing to use government services until they're *actually* gone! This will also push back against the opposition's strategy of gutting/depublicizing/straight lying about these programs until people stop using them and they can say "nobody uses this!" and cut them for real. So keep trying to use all the good government services!
