Static glanced down the hall at said bathroom. He didn’t want to know what it looked like. “Are you sick? I can find some soup or something.” He offered. He was a little awkward about it, but if he could help he wanted to.
“Are you doing alright?”
(Surprise me lol)
Aileen shook her head a little," not in the slightest," she groaned a bit," um don't go into the bathroom.. Gotta clean that up.." she murmured.

“Great,” Jason muttered to himself. They have aligned then. DAMN IT. That’ll make getting to him that much harder. Then he saw him move his arm to his chest. He’d been so caught up in the horrible reality he hadn’t noticed Max had started scratching. “Don’t apologize Max. It’ll be okay, and this is good to know so we can be prepared.”
“shh, you’re okay.” (Take your pick of muses friend)
Max shot up and scooted back towards the headboard of his bed bringing his knees to his chest. He had dreamt about his father and it wasn't a good dream not like any of his memories with him were good, " ... He . He's gonna find me... He's gunna hurt you guys," he murmured just barley being able to hear him.

“Erin? You’re sure that’s what he said?” Jason asked, feeling his heart turn colder. It wasn’t that he didn’t believe Max. It was that he wanted to be 100% sure of this. If his father had aligned himself with Erin, that made things a million times worse.

Jason frowned at that. Honestly, he was still so pissed about what his dad did to Faith. And to Max. The man was lucky he didn’t go after him in the first place though he desperately wanted to. He was going to reassure him that he could take care of himself and is dad wouldn’t get passed him, when he said it wasn’t a dream. Given all they’d been through, he couldn’t discount that. “What was the name?” He asked, still trying to keep his voice calming.

“Max….” Jason felt his heart break at the site of Max like that. No amount a progress could erase what his dad did to him. But they could at least help make the nightmares bearable. He knows, because his nightmares aren’t going away. It’s why he’s awake right now, but Faith and Max help him push past what they’re doing to him. That’s more than enough. Hope the same can be said for Max. “He’s not going to get to you. Faith and I are here. Even if he did come he wouldn’t make it passed that door. You’re okay,” he spoke calmly, keeping his tone gentle.

“Don’t worry if you do. I’ve probably put a hole or two into a wall here and can patch them up pretty easily,” he said, drawing himself out of his thoughts and popping down on a chair with one too make holes in it that clearly used to be in the garbage. “So, what do you like to do for fun?”

She watched him and was ready to leave the place now knowing someone else resided here, she looked at him slightly confused when he’s tone changed, “ um.. those who don’t truly know me call me the witch, b-but my family calls me Alieen,” she told him still keeping her distance not wanting to get to close to the other physical or emotionally.
“Well Aileen, my name’s Static and you’re welcome to keep staying here. Hardly anyone comes by here so you’d be safe,” Static said, feeling a little reluctant, but knew Shadow would do he same if she were here, He still needed to find her… “I have food too if you want some,” He offered.
Alieen smiled a little,” thanks, usually people freak out when they hear “witch” “ She told him,” so why do you come here?” She asked softly.
“I know the feeling,” He said, giving her a small smile back. The smile faltered a bit when she asked why he came here. “I started coming here when I needed a break from my family, now I come here because it helps me think. For someone like me, it’s nice to have someplace to go. Y’know?” He said, almost getting lost in thought.
Alieen nodded as she moved to a chair and sat down,” thanks again for willing to share your escape place,” she grinned,” I promise I’ll do my best to not mess anything up, as long as I stay calm I should be good on that promise.”

"I never expected to see you in need of my care. Life is full of surprises." "I suppose I should thank you for saving me, even if it means playing nurse now."

“Sure, we can do that. How you want the burger cooked?” Shadow asked as she wrote down the order. It was a partial test and partial requirement to ask. She placed the cup of soda down in front of him as well. Another patron waved at her and she nodded in acknowledgment that she would check on them next.

Shadow took a second to take in his appearance. He’d clearly been working. Something about it struck a chord in her head but she hadn’t placed why yet.
“I’ve got a few. Do you have any kind of… taste preferences?” She asked, unsure of how else to put it. She didn’t want to outright ask if he was a supernatural being that preferred a cup of blood or some other weird questionable thing they have in the back. If he answers in some human way, it still helps her point towards a good drink so it worked.
Adam thought for a bit, “ um..normal stuff..I guess,” he shrugged unsure how to answer that knowing no one but a very select few knew he was part alien, but most of his appetite did consisted of the more human meals, steak and things like that,” I know I don’t like bitter drinks, if that helps anything, actually, I’d prefer soda if you lot have them.”
Soda. Normal, for the most part. Didn’t completely strike him of the possible supernatural list, but made her still be cautious. She could work with that.
“Sure, we got soda. We also make a mean rum and coke here butt if you don’t want alcohol just the soda is sold as well,” Shadow informed him, grabbing a glass to put whatever drink he chose into.
“ Thank you, but alcohol doesn’t sit well with me, so just the soda please,” Adam told her,” and uh what types of food do you lot have?” He asked as he looked around having an off feeling though he sorta chalked it up to having an exhausting day.

Jason chuckled a bit. He had a feeling it was a bit more than that, but he liked that look on it. Before he could reply though he saw her bend over. He quickly set his coffee down and wrapped an arm around her while using the other hand to grab one of her arms in case she collapsed. Fear overwrote his facial expression. He heard a chair slide back against the floor.
“What is it? What happened?” He asked quickly, trying to determine if they needed to rush to the hospital.

Faith couldn’t help it to giggle at his reaction and imagining the scene,“ I bet, he’s still adorable now,” she grinned. Faith liked Jason’s mom especially without his father around,“ breakfast was delicious, Ms. Layla,” she commented as she had finished up the tiny bit she had gotten her and went to attempt to clean up some of the dishes.
Jason avoided responding to that by shoving a good sized pancake piece in his mouth. Still a little red from embarrassment.
“I’m glad you enjoyed it,” Layla said though she was concerned by her not eating a lot. Jason spoke up before she could question it.
“Mom and Father are going out of town for a while,” He informed Faith while simultaneously reminding his mom that she had to finish getting her things. “Work trip.” Layla nodded. “Yes, but if you need anything just call me okay and I’ll come right back to help okay?” Layla said. Jason finished his last bite and stood up, taking his plate to the sink to help Faith.
“We will,” he said just before he swallowed. Then whispered to Faith on the dishes, “I got it babe.”
Faith nodded she felt the concern from his mother, but didn’t act on it rather she focused more on her one dish until Jason came up,” thanks, but I want to do this, won’t be long and I’ll barely be able to move properly, or so I’m told by the other moms in my class,” she told him with a small smile, she then turned to face Layla,” be safe out there,” she told her about her work trip.
Jason smiled and nodded. If she wanted to do the dishes he wouldn’t stop her, but he would get coffee and lean on the counter right there to help if she needed him.
“We will. I’ll call when we’re on our way back,” Layla said with a little wave to Faith as she retreated to her and Allen’s room to finish getting ready. Jason checked the time. He still had plenty of time to get ready to go to his own work.
“What else do the other other moms in your class say?” He asked curiously. He would talk more about her dream, but with Anna still eating at the table, even scrolling through her phone like she now was, he didn’t want to talk about it here. He knew she’d eavesdrop.
“They say that I need to get used to the odd hours of sleep I’m getting because it’s the baby and my body’s way of preparing me for the rest of my life,” she chuckled as she didn’t mind that. She stopped a moment and placed her hand on her stomach as she bent over a bit and made a small noise.

There was no reaction at first. The shadows remained as stiff as always. In the distance, the shrill sound was still going for a few more seconds. Then it stopped. Almost immediately, a shadow started squirming. It was small, trying not to be noticed by anyone but Brittany. After a moment, it was able to form an arrow, pointing in the direction she desired. Several other small arrows formed along the path. Another small shadow created something that was akin to lips and a hand doing the shushing motion.
~
Shadow kept her breathing to a minimum. She heard footsteps go by. They were still looking for her. They hadn’t entered the building nor had they spotted her. Her vision was swimming a bit. The sound disappeared, but the shadows were slow to do anything big. They whispered something, but it was too quiet for her to hear over the ringing in her ear.

As Brittany had been getting the kids ready for bed she had gotten a bad feeling something was happening with Shadow, she was trying to not show it knowing all the kids would pick up on it and want to help. She had just walked out of the twins’ room and was going to check on Static when her phone rang, making her jump a little as she wasn’t expecting it, she saw who it was and quickly answered it,” hello, are you alright?” She asked. When there was no answer she kept it on, she told Static she needed him to keep the house locked up and not to answer it for anyone but her with their code phrase and that she would be back. She then grabbed her bag double checked she had everything she keeps stocked in there and left the house,” I’m coming Shadow, hang in there,” she whispered as she ran looking at her phone seeing where her friend was.

Doctor Who — The Impossible Astronaut {Sentence Starters}
“You, sir, are a genius.“
“Are you okay? Coping?“
“And I think it’s going to kill me.“
“Do not compliment the intruder.“
“Don’t shoot. Definitely no shooting.”
“Okay, but it doesn’t have to be him.”
“No, it’s important. It has to be, now.“
“Careful? I tried that once. Ever so dull.“
“I thought I’d never get done saving you.“
“You have to do this, and you can’t ask why.”
“You know, this isn’t nearly as bad as it looks.“
“He’s up to something. I know he is. I know him.”
“This is cold. Even by your standards, this is cold.“
“We have to stop it. How can you be okay with this?“
“You realize this is almost certainly a trap, of course?“
“Okay. I’m assuming that’s for something I haven’t done, yet.“
“Are you being threatened? Is someone making you say that?“
“And I’ve been running my whole life. Now, it’s time for me to stop.“
“And you’ve put on a couple of pounds. I wasn’t going to mention it.“
“It’s like he’s being deliberately ridiculous, trying to attract our attention.“
“Don’t play games with me. Don’t ever, ever think you’re capable of that.“
“You all need to stay back. Whatever happens now, you do not interfere. Clear?”
“Okay, since I don’t know what I’m getting into this time, for once, I’m being discreet.”
“I’m being extremely clever up here, and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed!“

Jason chuckled. He could picture Max’s face in his head when that happened. “Eh, understandable. I used to be horrible at wrapping last minute.” He told her as he grabbed down some mugs.
“Merry Christmas Faith,” Jason said with a smile. He’d been saving and hiding a present for a while now for this very day. He wanted to get her something special for helping and sticking by him during all the crazy that’s been going on. And that special gift was wrapped and carefully placed under the little tree he had. There was a present for Max too, but faiths was what he was most excited for.
Faith grinned seeing Jason smiling, it always made her smile especially when it was genuine," Merry Christmas Jason," she kissed his cheek," would you like some hot cocoa?" She asked.

“Absolutely. Nothin better in the Christmas season,” Jason said, stretching and smiling like an idiot as he usually did when he got a kiss on the cheek from her. “Max sleeping in?”

Jason paused as he considered his answer. That was a highly specific question to ask. He had a feeling it rang more true for the other, but he couldn’t say for certain. He glanced the others way, trying to sum up his body language to determine a little more. Then he looked ahead again. “I don’t think it’d change my opinion of them. If they are a good knight, why shouldn’t they fight?” He shrugged.

She chuckled as well glad he didn’t say anything about only learning the fundamentals of knighthood then she listened to his story about his grandfather,” sounds like a tale, but could also be true,” she grinned,” is your grandfather still around?” She questioned just to ask,” and can I ask you an off the wall question?”
Jason shook his head. “No my Grandfather passed several years ago, in the line of duty. But I shall always carry his stories with me,” he said sadly. He respected his grandfather greatly, but life moved on. He nodded to his other question. “Certainly. What is it?” He asked curiously.
“ Sorry to hear that, may he rest in peace,” she bowed her head a moment then straightened and looked around,” what would be your response to a female being a knight if it was possible?”
“Thank you,” Jason agreed. He took a second to consider the concept carefully. Personally, he’d have to see her skill to truly say. He’s not exactly against a woman becoming a knight. In fact he’s shown his sister how to do some of the things he did as a knight and she was a natural. “Personally, I would not be against it. I know some would be less than pleased by such a prospect, but if you can fight and want to protect your home, I see no reason to shun someone for such a thing.”
She listened to his answer and nodded,” good to know,” she replied extremely glad her face was covered,” what would you say to someone pretending to be a male but wasn’t just to be a knight under the laws, and that they are actually a really good knight, just the law has them needing to hide,” Fate asked him hoping that wasn’t about to blow her cover.
