Sometimes I read "Seb would never..." about something Max has done and realize people Really think Seb was the same bee-loving, chill guy all his career. I'd even posit that Seb could be worse than Max at times, frankly; Max just had worse narratives around him because of being Vs Lewis in 2021 and sort of Vs Daniel in DTS, so the portrayal pf him is very poor.
you get it!!!!!! seb said some crazy ass shit back in his day (as he should, he literally won wdc FOUR IN A ROW) that would get him in serious doodoo nowadays lol. he just chilled out when he stopped winning, which makes sense when you consider how much pressure was on him from day one. just like max!

the more i think about it, the more i realize how weird is most criticism i see on air signs.
like, "they're so flakey, they changed their mind and think differently now". which is what happens to every open-minded person ever. you learn, you grow, you change. it's the way of life if you're not stuck on some ego bullshit that you're always right and it's dangerous to change.
or the usual accusation of being two faced... honestly, acting nice and polite with people you don't really fuck with doesn't make you fAkE. what kind of high school bs is this?? just because someone isn't your favorite person or has traits that irk you doesn't mean you should be rude to them or make them feel stressed. it's not so hard to just....not communicate much with them and when it's weird not to, to be civil and polite.
that's actually what society is built on. the promise of civility and politeness even to those who are different from you or you don't like for whatever reason.
srsly air signs are like the foundation of any civilized community and y'all are acting like some Noble Protectors of Loyalty and Honesty. grow the fuck up. looking mean and acting grumpy with your friend's girlfriend cuz she's annoying isn't because you're a scorpio and a real one lol. it's cuz you're an asshole. being stuck on the same toxic shit instead of adopting a different mindset isn't something to be that proud of.

See girls this here is why you need to laugh in the face of men who demand that you “prove your wheel knowledge” or like name all the world champions in backwards order or something because, sir, your faves don’t know what’s happening half of the time. They barely know who’s on the grid— I just watched half the drivers FORGET CURRENT DRIVERS WHO’VE WON RACES

To be a woman, young and all alone, is hard - hard!- is to want things, is to carry a heavy, heavy weight.
Why is this - and what is it that is hurting so? Is it because I am young, or is it because I am alone, or because I am a woman?
Oh, it is a hard and bitter thing to be a woman! And why - why? Is woman so foul a creature that she must needs be purged by this infinite pain?
I am a woman, … - a lonely, damned thing filled with the red, red blood of ambition and desire, but afraid to be touched, for there is no thick skin between myself and the world’s fingers.

astrology on how to be unbothered
really long note, feel free to skip: i’ve been a little unmotivated on the social front so i haven’t really been captivating anyone new lately (which should explain why i haven’t been able to think of a astro personality related post for a few months now). but i have been looking into different philosophical schools of thought and i’m seeing interesting connections with astrology. :) at the end of the day, astrology is less a worldview but a very rich language for describing pretty much everything within the scope of human experience. in fact i feel like you could create a chart for worldviews themselves. catholicism would probably have heavy cancer, taurus, pisces, and virgo; whereas atheism would have a lot of capricorn and aquarius; and mega-church type christianity would be heavy with aries and sagittarius)). all this to say. this is another abstract self help post, since that’s all i can come up with. hope it helps!
how to be unbothered - gemini edition:
Tumblr media
i can’t talk right now i’m too busy curing my cognitive dissonances
THE LOVERS CARD
gemini is the lovers card in tarot. it’s about love between two people and it’s also about a choice that needs to be made. the last one (a choice) is a little harder to make out just from looking at the card itself. it doesn’t immediately seem like it’s an either/or situation but a coming together of two archetypes with divine blessing.
Tumblr media
but I don’t think gemini is about making a choice between two things. if it made a choice then it wouldn’t be gemini. because gemini has to be dual, it has to be both those things at the same time. people relate the lovers card to the adam and eve story in the bible, but after deep diving into the bible origins it’s harder for me to trust that as a reference.
i don’t think it’s about choice from an astrological perspective (though it can still signify that in tarot). gemini is the relationship between duality, rather than choosing between the two. neither you or me, but us. not you vs the world, but your relationship to the world. not the head or the heart, but the head’s relationship with the heart. not the past or the present, but your relationship to them both. not being a saint or a sinner, but about your relationship with “sin,” if you’re religious. i think that to make an absolute choice is to negate the other and to lose touch with duality entirely, which is basically what everything in the world is made of, whether you have placements in gemini or not.
the gemini secret to being unbothered is not choosing between the two, but a greater loyalty to the relationship between them. so you’re full of endless paradoxes, but that in itself can be hot. it doesn’t make anyone wild when you project an image of someone who experiences no inner conflict, because it’s unrelatable. when people ask for “character” what they mean is an expression of tension (which is what the squares, oppositions, inconjuncts and other challenging contacts in the chart already gives everybody).
tension can be a source of creative inspiration and humor. but the kind of tension that condemns one or the other is a conversation-stopper. it’s like the “one day you’ll find the truth” after i revealed my paganism to a woman i worked for. or the “may you have god’s unconditional love” from a pastor i was speaking to after i realized his intentions to convert my sexuality as well as my siblings’. but religions to me despite all the harm they’ve done to the world have bits in them that i find very useful (like the idea of ritual and a credo). though im not a fan of the theology, i’m actually kind of obsessed with religion’s shape and structure. i also find the philosophical pessimism of atheist authors useful. i think the only thing worth condemning is condemnation itself.
whenever i’ve condemned people it hurt not only them but myself, too. our little me vs them became a me vs the world thing. when i’ve focused on the relationship between us, and just kept that clear and clean energetically, and not adding any issues to it on my end, i was able to detach myself from it more. i could move on and leave it behind. it no longer influenced how i viewed everything. of course, i’m talking about my mom for a lot of this. but also my relationship with myself. anyone can condemn you but if you respond to the relationship itself instead of them, then you’re not really giving them any power. you’re not reflecting back what they’re giving you. you become unbothered, in other words.
as a pisces rising, i also used to be such a doormat i thought the only way to rebuild my life was to be as selfish as possible. i felt i was betraying myself whenever i would do anything for people who had unwittingly taken advantage of that side of my personality before. i became overly ‘me vs. everyone else’ which didn’t give me any peace of mind. i held in so much anger in my chest that it became physical pain. anyways..
what saved me is seeing the world in terms of relationships rather than as separate threatening parts.
tl; dr — to be unbothered in the manner of gemini is to live with your own paradoxes, not against them. and to stop focusing on people or ideas or things, but on the third energy or all the relationships that lie in between these things and you. hope this helps someone.
