Ok so this post is extremely long and I put it all together for my blogs Feeling sad page but as I don’t have a huge amount of followers I realize so many people are not seeing this information so I’m posting it here too!
alternatives without harming yourself:
holding/squeezing ice.
splashing your face with water.
getting a rubber band and snapping it against your skin (this could hurt, though it’s better than other ways that people usually choose to self-harm).
take a hot shower or bath.
eat something sour. it will take your mind of the urge. (lemon, sour lollies)
massage where you want to self-harm.
get a red pen or red paint and draw/paint over where you usually self-harm.
remind yourself as to why you shouldn’t do it. (scars, harms organs, leave memories etc…)
describe what you are feeling. (is the urge/pain in your chest, fists, legs, arms, head).
killing yourself will not help. it is not a solution.
you have your whole life ahead of you. you have so many more years that you can accomplish things in. for example;
having a family.
getting married.
to watch the sun rise.
to watch the sun set.
to save someone else’s life.
finish school.
get your dream job.
to laugh.
to smile.
to go camping.
travel to new places.
to wake up every morning to the person you love.
friends.
family.
to keep that promise you made.
to accomplish a goal.
to meet your idol.
to listen to new music.
theme parks.
video games.
chocolate.
to be able to look back and say “i made it”.
what you’re going through is temporary.
in case you need to hear this:

Hey uhh... you letting people tell you all about them. Before I take you on a date anywhere, I wanna know about you first.
Woooooo. How brave. Okay. Male, Italian (a bonus huh?), 5'9, hair brown blackish and curled long most of the time, eyes are kinda dark brown, sometimes green-shaded. Usually grow my beard. Ectomorph type. More on the hobbily side, I most often read about trivia or subjects, often linguistics or sciences, or even travelling, do archery, sometimes listen to music, used to read a lot and write but quite less these times. Oh, I can be quite an argued over many issues. Have tried picking up coding, swimming, karate, binge watching, enigmistics, legos, poetry. Meaning I have a glimpse to them and may pick them back, but not currently. Can quite handle small talk. Oh, and I conlang. (Part 2) I tell you my order, a fish fillet sandwich, small fries, and a vanilla milkshake. As you are order food I go and set up the table, making the napkins into swans. You come back to the food and sit down. We’re both feeling a sense of regret and embarrassment for breaking the norms and drawing attention to ourselves. However we are in this together so I grab you hand and give you a reassuring look that the people around us don’t matter and we should just be ourselves and have fun.

I’m a female INFP. I’m 26, 5’7” with short light brown hair and large medium-brown eyes that are offset by round cheeks and high cheekbones. I definitely have a baby face but it’s in the cute way! I’m fairly thin but curvy, as cliche as that sounds to write. I’m nervous but excited for new experiences. I love working with dogs and animals in general, and singing is one of my favorite things in the world. For a first date maybe we could hang out and show each other our favorite Netflix shows :)
