it’s been a while since she’s had a normal conversation that wasn’t bogged down by statecraft and duty , that was outside of family affairs and political agendas , that was less an order by her king or queen to be obeyed without question but an actual reciprocal dialogue between equals .

a chuckle escapes under the princess’s breath .  ❝ sounds like you and your best friend worked around your elements . ❞  and besides , what was that human saying again ?  opposites attracting ?  ❝ i work with my family these days .  it goes as well as one would expect , but family is family . ❞  years ago , she would have resisted and ran away , but she has since made peace with what is expected of her .  from time to time , her thoughts lingered on memories among the human friends or her husband from across the stars —

but crystal has since accepted the part that she had to play .  that is what it means to be 𝙿𝚁𝙸𝙽𝙲𝙴𝚂𝚂 and a member of the 𝚁𝙾𝚈𝙰𝙻 𝙵𝙰𝙼𝙸𝙻𝚈 .

it’s true; she loves meeting other heroes, making new friends. and it seems like there’s less time for that recently with every other day bringing a new crisis to the forefront.

though she seems to spend more time running from her mother than to her these days. there’s a pressure there, pressure to return home permanently and lead their people, pressure to become a queen. it’s something that tora never wanted.

she just seems so YOUNG. maybe it’s an aftereffect of his daughter being born; something in him has softened..
