So many of the kids at my job are missing their appointments, I am so scared for them and for my community and my family.

ICE is in Los Angeles conducting raids and arresting families and children on their way to their court dates and raiding workplaces. Trump has called the National Guard in to stop protestors and is spreading a false narrative about violence, raiding, etc. to distract from the fact that ICE is abducting children in a SANCTUARY CITY.

Do not look away, do not be silent. If you or a loved one is detained by ICE, stay silent except to ask for your lawyer. Keep your documents on you. Call legal aid foundations who are standing by.

If you are NOT in LA and want to help, you can contact rapid response networks and ask how to help or donate. Donate to ACLU, the Mexican American Legal Defense Fund (MALDEF), or the Immigrant Defense Project.

Trump is sending the National Guard to back up ICE down there. If history is anything to go by, things are about to get VERY bad. Don’t let the Trump-Musk breakup distract you from the people who are probably about to get hurt, arrested, or worse.

ICE tried another raid in the LA area (Paramount, California) and were, again met with resistance by the community leading to this iconic moment of a skater shrugging off rubber bullets and tear gas to slowly walk away before flipping off ICE

Trump has federalized 2,000 troops from the California National Guard in hopes of crushing anti-ICE protests

I don't really have much to say, other than this is a very grim moment and we just have to wait and see how it turns out
