As for Hufflepuffs...
As for Hufflepuffs…
I procrastinated writing this post for so long that the entire Wizarding World and our perception of it and its author has been forever changed for so many of us Potterheads. It’s an interesting phenomenon, coming back to writing this post with such bittersweet feelings. I was so conflicted about continuing in order to finish this mini-series of Potter posts, but in the end, I had to. It would be…

🌟 Please read for context!
Idk how many people will actually see this but i decided to post it anyway
So recently Mark did a members livestream, where he just chatted a bit with us, and he said something that kinda struck me unexpectedly. Someone said they felt bad about themselves when Mark talked about how he kept himself motivated, working out and keeping himself busy with projects and such. So he started talking about how he used to not spend his days the best way when he was younger, and that its okay to not do so. I couldnt include everything thing he said word for word in the comic, so to just sum it up he talked about how its okay to not always work and be productive, its totally fine. He encouraged us to think about trying to spend our time the best way we could, but he also made sure to make it clear he wasnt shaming anyone for not spending their days "wisely" when he talked about staying in shape and working etc.
For me, who's been struggling quite alot the last years with what I want to do etc, the last few months have been pretty shitty, and these last days have been horrible, and I feel like im wasting my life away but im not sure how to do anything about it. So suddenly hearing Mark say that its okay to "waste" days and you dont always have to create and do your best with every day really hit me in the stomach. I kinda started sobbing, hearing those words really felt like some weight was taken off my shoulders. Idk. I wanted to do a lil comic about it. Hopefully it can remind you guys too that its okay to feel like youre wasting your time. Eventually you'll find what you want to do and you'll thrive doing it too. You have time, don't stress. Its gonna be okay !!

Snippet: The Garden Guardian
Snippet: The Garden Guardian
I’m aliiiiiive! Winter has been kicking my butt lately, but I finally mustered up the courage to post.
Thankfully, the staff seemed to take good care of it. The statue was well kept and clean. No signs of bird poop or junk that she could see, which would make getting up there easier.
Violet walked up to the statue as an unfamiliar nervousness started filtering in. She looked around,…

“You don’t start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking it’s good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it. That’s why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.”

Writer: (Runs into a writing problem) It’s over! I’ve officially lost my touch and I can’t work anymore! Why did I ever think this was possible? Pity me! Pity my poor, cursed creative soul, for none of my efforts shall ever see the light, and I will be cast into eternal damnation after wasting my precious mortal years! Writer, after eating a snack and drying their eyes: wow that was a lot

Interview your deck spread
If you recently got a new deck and you’re keen to use it, clear yourself some space, light a candle if you wish, and try out this neat interview spread! This spread will help to introduce yourself to a new tarot deck and allow it to introduce itself to you. Basically, it’s a conversation about your potential working relationship, where you can examine the deck’s strengths and limits and discover the best way to approach and use these cards. Certain decks, for instance, work best for love readings and others are more suited to spiritual path. Either way, this interview spread is a convenient way to explore those ideas in more detail.

It's 2020! Goals for an Awesome Year
It's 2020! Goals for an Awesome Year
New year? New decade!
Welcome, my friend, to the start of a new year. The start of a new decade. …Now that I think about it, is it also a leap year? Yeesh! There’s too many things happening in so little time! The silent but grand magnitude of the amount of change implied can be a little overwhelming when I stop to think about it.
The pressure to make this year better than the last is a…

NaNoWriMo: No Such Thing as Losing.
#NaNoWriMo: No Such Thing as Losing. National Novel Writing Month is over, but that doesn't mean our writing is done! #amwriting #writingcommunity #blog
National Novel Writing Month is over, but that doesn’t mean our writing is done!
Welp. My final NaNoWriMo word count was 26,688 words, which means I didn’t reach my word count goal for the month. Surprisingly, I’m less bummed than I thought I’d be at the beginning of the challenge. I like to think that’s because I didreach my other NaNoWriMo goal: Write as much as I can and build a writing…

NaNo Week 2: My Writing Routine
NaNo Week 2: My Writing Routine #writingcommunity #nanowrimo #amwriting #writingroutine #productivity
Oh, wow! Time sure does fly by. One minute you’re struggling to develop and idea into a decent enough outline, and the next you find yourself in the middle of a writing sprint war zone, typing away like your life depends on it.
These first two weeks have been a roller coaster of emotions and activities I wasn’t expecting. I had a slow start full of trepidation, had awesome days, had crappy…

NaNoWriMo: Week 1
NaNoWriMo: Week 1 What I've learned this first week... #writingcommunity #writing #amwriting #blog #nanowrimo #nanowrimo2019 #peptalk
We are finally here!
It’s been one week since NaNoWriMo started and there are some things I’ve learned so far that I would like to share:
Writing sprints and live write-ins are two of the best tools for getting writing done. Especially if you’re still working on building a writing routine. It’s a great technique for focusing (like the Pomodoro Technique!) and learning how to balance work…

Prompt: Chills
Prompt: Chills #writingprompts #writing #writingcommunity #spoopy
Happy first day of NaNoWrimo!
Marcos’ hand trembled as he waved around his phone, trying to light up the hallway. The kitchen seemed so far away, he considered running back to his room and deal with his homework. Why did everything have to look so much creepier in the middle of the night?
He tried to ignore the chills climbing up his back as he focused on the current task. He reached the…

As for Slytherins...
As for Slytherins... #WritingCommunity #potter #slytherin #slytherinpride
Ah, Slytherins, you are one misunderstood bunch sometimes.
Slytherin writers are probably some of the most determined people on the planet. They’re not intimidated by big tasks in the slightest. That doesn’t mean they can’t be lazy or stressed like the rest of us. It’s just that there’s usually no stopping them once they decide to get something done. After all, there’s a reason Slytherin gets…

Prompt: Last Words
Prompt: Last Words #amwriting #writingprompts #writing #flashfic
Becca stared at the pistol right in front of her face. Athena, her self-declared worst nightmare and lifetime enemy, had managed to corner her and attacked when Becca least expected. It was perfect timing, really. At least for Athena.
Contrasting feelings battled inside Becca’s gut. Why did she lower her guard? Why now? Becca should’ve expected this. Athena had been quiet the last few weeks.

Prompt: Startling Truth
Prompt: Startling Truth #amwriting #writingprompt #dialogue #writing #blog
A little melodrama because, why not?
“Please say something,” she pleaded.
He stared at her, his face frozen in a disgruntled expression. “What— What am I even supposed to say?! You lied, Dee!” He stood up and paced in front of the chair. “You lied to everyone. How can I—,” he tried to take a deep breath, “How can I even trust you?”
“I’m sorry,” she whispered, hugging herself. “I didn’t…
