Welcome to INVERTED WORLDS, a Zine that plans to focus on obscure but well loved anime & manga that aired or were serialized in the 90s to early 2000s [1990-2005] and put a twist on them!

This project will focus on showcasing anime & manga in their opposite mode of survival!

If the show or manga is typically a Shonen/includes fighting elements/ warriors/ magic/ does not take place in the modern world, then the opposite role would be SURVIVE THE DAY [Slice of life AU]

If the show or manga is typically romance focused/set in high-school/ involves a 9-5 job, then the opposite role is SURVIVE THE BATTLE [ Adventure AU]

Hey! I had a few questions about the zine.

1.) Is there an age requirement to apply?

2.) When it says all participants must be artists first, does that only artists can apply?

Heyo! Glad you hear you're interested in the zine! 1) There is no age requirement as it's a SFW zine, if you sign up as a contributor you're agreeing to submit work to the fandom you choose/were assigned to and agree you can follow a fast-paced deadline as we like it when zines get put together and go out quickly! 2) Artists will be signing up first, then writers will be able to choose a fandom to write for based on our artist's choices. All writing pieces will be small blurbs/articles/journals/flash fiction/context for an artist's piece/character interviews or tweets/etc no more than ~500 words as we want the zine to be content-dense and not drive up the price when we get it formatted for print-on-demand. Since we are not handling money/copies, it is up to folks if they want to purchase a physical copy so we want to keep it feasible! Thank you for your interest : D
