Finding my art style:2023

This is not a tutorial or a tips-and-tricks thing like most people on the internet do. This is a list of things that I need to clear out by next year.

My art style isn’t so much a thing where everyone can see me on a sheet like a strain of my DNA on paper. Just a vast empty void box that I can pull something out of. Since to future is just a huge mist, I have no idea where this is going. Therefore, my art style is where I am at completely nowhere.

The ART:

Digital drawing/ YouTube

This art style will be more for the public. Bold in color choice. Marker-like but leans on a more realistic shading. Hopefully with end with an anime style that is semi-realistic.

It will be subject to change once I get my hand on something vector-based to have bold and thick designs.

Sketchbook

Will lean more on shading and emotions. Like I am trying to start storyboarding. Time yourself so that you get bolder and fast because that is what you need.

Drawing like I would go into animation. Bold shapes. Bigger movements. Clearer silhouette. No need for shading but inking outside of the main shape is allowed.

Personal

Most comic book style. Liked you want a job for DC, or Marvel. Maybe, a job as a concept artist. Will be easy to scan and ink. (Learn to take better pictures with that phone.) Eventually, send out a book to a friend or make a comic that goes to Tumblr.

Learning to crosshatch and shade with inks more than a pencil. (Fine makers and dip pens only) no color yet.

The reason that I separated it like this what to not only go faster but to see if I can just expand how diverse I can get. finish one project. This a bunch of things to try and still no real plan. I will mark down which style I use the most, which I liked drawing with the most, and which one I can easily force on the most. The one with the most points with be set as a life goal. I just hope to have enough skill and practice to have any of what I do matter when I comes to art. I don’t know. the future always makes me depressed.

It fires crystallized demon blood like bullets… y'know, Red Orbs? I also made sure it causes any demon it hits to cough up a butt-load of blood.

Amazing, ain’t it!? You’d have to be a few beers short of a six-pack to pass up a Devil Arm like this.

I am not in a place where I am emotionally stable right now but I am tempted to start some reader x DMC character or something. There is so much I want to do so much I want to post especially here. The problem is that I am just emotionally doing too much as my body does nothing at all.

It will be out for a short amount I just going to be doing like 5 or some shit.

Team Vergil

1.1.1.1 I asked the two people that are interested in this said, Vergil. So, Vergil is going to be the person that establishes most of the world and its problems and Dante will at least be trying to solve them. The OCs are coming in so be ready.

1.1.2 The city is split by class (Like Arcane) so the lower you are to the ground the closer you are to the Underworld. The more you live on the hills the more you are in heaven. There is a mostly bare middle ground.

1.1.3 Vergil lives on the angel side of the world. The Kindest word to say is Uptight. On the angel side, everything is picked out for them. Their job, the person they marry, their school everything. Humans do live there, but they hardly have power. No power, no option for control.

1.1.3.1 Vergil does not want power. He wants control.

1.1.4 Vergil lived his life as a human. He was reported as a human. Finding out that he is Both Demon and Angel was finding out his life is a lie. After finding his demon trigger in limbo he needs more control in his life.

1.1.5 Vergil is already Married; has a kid and a job he doesn’t really like. A Human name Samuel gives him advice on the occult. Someone to Talk about angels and the demon with.

1.1.6 After that Vergil discovers His old home and starts the order. 1.1.6.1 The order in the original was a Catholic-like Sparda worshiping cult. I am going to have to Give Samuel deep young priest daddy energy. Samuel can be the face and Vergil is the backbone. A stormy Credo if you will.

1.1.7 Samuel is running most of the show and is the face of it all. The main target is Mundus because they want to take the underworld. At first, Vergil and Samuel are just recruiting people one of them is Cat. Most of the missions would be to kill this, get that, Save this person. They find the injustice around them in an open world. Just some grunt work for a hot minute before the story picks up again.

1.1.8 They look for Eva’s old weapon (I am tempted to say that it is the Yamato, because of the personality that I want to convey to Eva.) Stealing the weapon and using it on the way out of limbo makes him have a huge target on his back.

1.1.9 Once Vergil finds a book about how to kill Demon Kings and the highest-ranking of heaven, which was the Nephelium, the Ones that were made to hunt them down were the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Vergil needs to find the four horsemen and kill them before they find him. Before they can get anywhere near Mundus. 1.1.10 War:

1.1.10.1 War is the first one to deal with because she was the closest. It is mostly a really buffed-up barfight. Think the Lilith level but more biker and homey looking.

1.1.10.2 After fighting up to the warrior in a huge area-like in limbo. She fights like a boxer, and some moves she does block like if you don’t stagger her and go for a Judgment Cut she will grab you and do a number of attacks.

1.1.10.3 It is clear she knows something Vergil doesn’t and is messing with him only to piss Vergil off.

1.1.10.4 Eventually, she is bested, and Vergil finds out that it’s his assigned wife. So, they have a funny dynamic. She is more fun-loving and unaffected by most things he is the straight man.

1.1.11 Valerie is both the muscle and someone looking into the Murder of Eva since she was one of the Horsemen. Now it’s a murder mystery. How the demons could find the house in Limbo. Why would the angels let a prized weapon die?

1.1.12 As far as they Know. It was only the demons coming out of nowhere. It was holy magic protecting them it should have been impossible for any demon to come in. Something happened to get that shield down. Samuel tells them to focus on getting to the next horseman and save the mystery for later.

1.1.13 Famine:

1.1.13.1 Famine is a doctor in a hospital. Vergil deals with the place in limbo. It looked very very fucked up. Valerie goes through it in the Physical world.

1.1.13.2 It’s a lot of platforming and puzzles rather than a straight-on fight. It was a test of endurance with assistance from a friend Nadia.

1.1.13.3 Once You get to the boss Nadia’s father. You must weaken him in limbo and kill him in the physical world. Nadia joins the team. She is now the new Famine Horsemen.

1.1.14 Eva’s death record said that her death was an accident. Reported by the old horsemen of Conquest. it wasn’t just Demons attacking the place but Angels as well and now all the need to find out is why.

1.1.15 Bring the Mission Samuel did say something about his wife and child being around or helping in the hospital

1.1.16 Conquest:

1.1.16.1 Conquest is uppity of the upper crust. Lavished party, art galleries. In another life, Conquest and Vergil would be friends. It is a mission like the original Mundus mission.

1.1.16.2 This one shows a lot more of Vergil and Valerie’s relationship. How it works and how it doesn’t.

1.1.16.3 At this party Nadia deals with the security of most distractions. Valerie was mostly arm candy and a direct distraction if Nadia is too suspicious. In limbo, the event area looked like an abandoned castle with only a few guards. For Cat and Nadia is a stealth mission.

1.1.16.4 Nadia fails to weaken him in Limbo. So, Valerie and Vergil can go in brutally. Because that is what they are best at.

1.1.16.5 Once Vergil and Valerie get the upper hand Mundus comes in and the plan goes to complete shit.

1.1.16.6 The mission ends with Valerie being captured. Cat is injured and Nadia is trapped in Limbo.

1.1.17 Vergil is resolved to be alone so as to not hurt anyone.

1.1.18 Throughout the mission the information about his mother is Sparda asks for her hand, and it was accepted. Vergil was expected to take Her job once she passed. No one trusts a Nephelium. Once he was received after the accident. Valerie and Vergil’s child would take the job of death instantly. Mundus didn’t like the fact the Sparda canoodle his doodle with an Angel of any kind. Just like heaven with Vergil and Hell did to Sparda. Vergil still Believes Dante is died and gone.

1.1.18.1 Side note: Vergil and Valerie never did the do. So, Nero’s mom is still whomever the lady in red was.

1.1.19 Mundus:

1.1.19.1 Nadia and Cat eventually find one another in limbo. Hunt down where Valerie is, and Help Nadia get to the physical world.

1.1.19.2Vergil was able to sneak by most guards and doesn’t start getting really aggressive until like halfway and most people couldn’t get away from his wrath. Once he gets to Mundus. Vergil goes Ham.

1.1.19.3Through the fight Every time Vergil is forced into Limbo there was a Portal for him the find a way out and someone whispering something encouraging.

1.1.19.4Vergil gets the upper hand and is about to off him. Mundus looks up at him with a smile, “My family wouldn’t like it if you do that” Mundus says.

1.1.19.5Someone by the throat throws him through to a different arena and there stands, A woman that looks like his mother, his twin brother, and Sparda.

1.1.19.6Nadia Finally finds Valerie trapped basically in the Basement. Cat finds some way to get both Nadia and Valerie out of Limbo and get to Vergil

1.1.19.7Now the teams have Evened out again. Nadia versus the Eva clone, Sparda versus Valerie, and Dante versus Vergil. Occasionally, they switch off but for the most part, it is set as is.

1.1.19.8In the end Dante and Trish are captured, and they get out hurt and traumatized. They get out barely alive and Cat is still trapped in Limbo.

1.1.20 Once they come back Samuel rips them a new asshole. Dante and Trish are out of Mundus's influence, and they are a touch feral.

1.1.21 Valerie goes back home to Prioritize Nero’s well fair. Nadia takes Cat to help her some the physical world, and Vergil wants to save his father more than anything and rehabilitate his family.

1.1.22 With the mystery. Conquest was the main person on the angel side to help kill Eva. Because them the rules and they must be followed.

1.1.22.1.1 That is where I am ending it with everyone going in a separate path but the story is not over.

1.2 final thoughts for Vergil’s part.

1.2.1 There is something that I need to iron out like Samuel’s whole character. He is a big player in future installments. He is a bit too plain in this outline.

1.2.2 The mystery needs to get better motivation than “No reproduction, dems da rulez. I don’t care if god approved.”

1.2.3 I am glad about how came out and I am happy that we started here than with Dante.

Using DMC devil may cry for fanfiction

1.1        Disclaimer:

1.1.1          This is not attack on the Team that made DMC Devil May Cry nor is this a cause/excuse to attack. This is just making Fanfiction that needs to get out of my head and will be treated as such.

1.2        How I would edit the original.

1.2.1          I would add only two things. I would make a Hub world and have coop. 

 1.2.2          A hub world would make Dante interact with more than just Cat and Vergil. It would also show Dante and Vergil’s relationship. After every mission you can go and annoy the shit out of Vergil. Talk to Cat. Talk to someone that is not them. Talk to Lilith when she is captured. A Hub would do wonders for the Plot. It would help give characters more of a chance to be characters. 

 1.2.3          Coop would change up the combat. Rather than have Just the option to change weapons to attack a type of enemy just send them to your brother. Have them keep score. It would be a fun dynamic to play with if they would let it.

1.3        The goal of the Fanfiction.

1.3.1.1         One must always be aware of what one is trying to write. Have simple goals like making two characters kiss or using a different character’s death in the overall plot. Overall, it is adding experience to what one wants to write and experimenting without pressure.

 1.3.2          My goal in this is to add all the DMC girls into the world of the reboot. Mess with Vergil as a character Because there is a dynamic I feel is untouched family drama. 

 1.3.3          Characters that like each other (mostly referring to the women characters.)

 1.3.4          I also just want to make people kiss. [ Because I need to keep my branding.] 

 1.3.4.1         I need to tell you all my weakness here. I hardly write angsts; I love romance and I liked laughing at my own awful jokes. I will be as vague as possible

1.4        What The story actually gives us. (aka: What I will be using from the reboot.)

1.4.1          The Fact that angels exist in this world. 

 1.4.1.1         I am going to go with Order Versus Chaos. Nothing new. Not broken, not fixing it. 

 1.4.2          Sparda and Mundus being blood brothers. 

 1.4.2.1         I am looking at the original Dante and Vergil and giving them the worst-case scenario, that is their relationship. 

 1.4.3          Eva being an angel. (A lot of shit has a chance to change since the boys aren’t human). 

 1.4.3.1         I made an OC for this world. In my research there are two possibilities Making her a power, which would give her direct connection to the human world and demons. The other one is not only to make her an angel but one of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. An enemy to lover in not only physicality but in ideals. Having a demon wanting to save humans and having an angel wanting to destroy it is something I like. I live for the drama, so she is a horseman of death. (My family crest is a demon of death: Obligation.)

 1.4.4          Limbo, and witches. 

 1.4.4.1         I need to get better rules for it, but Limbo shows the sprit. Some humans can see it, put things and people in it.  Once you are in that world you can’t interact with people outside of it. If you want to kill someone you must be in the exact same world. One can kill the sprit in limbo and the body in the physical world.  It is transportation from A to B and a few fighting along the way.

1.5        Organizing my mess

1.5.1          I want two campaigns. Team Vergil and Team Dante. 

 1.5.2          The tutorial will probably just have both characters going through their past in the same house. Learning combos, making money and exploring limbo. After that they Boys get their own campaign.

 1.5.3          Both boys have a full team. They are the leader. A Tank; the muscle of the team. A Range attacker, in the story they will play as a scout role and the witch the help you get to limbo. I am putting a informant on both story but I am not going to making this a role.
