vulcan horror movies would be an exercise in emotional regulation against fear, targeted directly at vulcans' deepest insecurities. movies titled "IT IS ILLOGICAL TO QUIVER AT THIS SEQUENCE OF EVENTS" which, if one of its hundred-and-six jumpscares gets you, you'll never live it down. humans find them annoyingly scary, like a friend who won't stop trying to "get" you.
you'd think that klingon horror movies are gorefests, but it's actually quite the opposite: gore is honorable, and nothing is scarier than dishonor. they often show a person whose life falls apart despite their own valiance and virtues: like an earth tragedy but with someone who clearly doesn't deserve it. at the end, there's often an operatic number where the protagonist exclaims that there's nothing they could have done to prevent their abysmal fate.
ferengi horror movies are documentaries about stock market crashes

I just love it when in star trek spock is not actively talking/participating in the moment but they just put him in screen just to serve face and vulcunt

My Pinterest main page did the funniest thing ever for absolutely no reason and I had to recreate the feeling I got from it.

This is almost every TOS episode in a nutshell

AND to add onto this: as much as i do love k/s (dearly) — what makes it interesting is the unresolved tension between the two of them.
k/s will simply never be as good in canon as in fanon depictions, because most of what has made spirk so viable in fandom for such a ridiculously long time is the interpretation of them (mostly) untouched by paramount. k/s being canon would not make the ship more interesting; it would not make star trek more interesting; it could (likely) never be done in a genuine, satisfying way.
i find that i often word things unclearly, but i hope this was coherent lol
I feel compelled to say this to newer trek fans - specifically new k/s shippers invested in their relationship on snw - kirk and spock are never going to be a couple and kiss on your tv screen.
i’m saying this from a place of love as one of their biggest shippers. spock is paramount’s golden boy - he will never sleep with men because of that. every new iteration of spock becomes more and more heterosexual for that reason. the sooner you accept that, the easier you will breathe. the more you will enjoy what we do get.
just enjoy the subtext (it’s there and will always be there) and know in your heart of hearts that their love transcends paramount+

they should invent a bus that never gets stuck in traffic because it's on its own path separated from the roads. and then chain multiple of them together and put it on rails. has anyone had this idea before.
