With every dip and void comes the rise and the climb... Today we celebrated one of our best friend’s, Jason “Jay” Borrero’s birthday.... Although he wasn’t physically with us, both his spirit and presence were.... As we gathered together, to bridge our networks, we reminisced upon the passing of one of the best humans, we would ever know.... He left this world prematurely, but not without leaving some marks ...In honor of Jay, we will be introducing a new gathering and a tribute ride, that will be the beginning of something special.... Something that can help the future of his two daughters, that he left behind.... On Sunday, May 16th.... one month from now, we present to you .... “Jay’s Ride” .... This event will start at Bell Works in Holmdel.... A huge thanks goes out to all of our sponsors for their donations and generosity.... There will be snacks, giveaways, and raffles for all kinds of awesome prizes, where 100% of all the proceeds and accepted donations will go towards the futures of his beautiful girls.... I really, really don’t get it anymore ..... Last night my team and I lost another great friend .... Soooo many of our good ones are leaving us way, way, wayyyy too soon... 💔 @jorge.lazcano.12 .....you will always remain in my heart, and I will forever be honored to spend the valuable time in your presence, learning, absorbing, and collaborating our ideas and dreams together ....Countless hours of happiness, excitement, disappointments, and stress.... from trials and tribulations.... to accomplishing monumental things ...I’m so sad to find out about your passing this morning and in this way.... I’m beyond devastated and lost in life, once again... I’m so sorry for your family and the grief they are going through... Last time we talked, it was for hours in Maryland, laughing about the accomplishments that we made over the years and through our lifetime, racing our Nissans ...Only to watch you run back to back world record runs that day!!! ...How so many times, we wanted to throw in our towels and give in when things broke on us and when our times were rough.... Him, Jamie and I have gone through this difficult race industry running our unique platforms, with very little factory support.... All of our cars have and still hold U.S. world records that haven’t been beaten yet.... and still to this day, I’m still proud of all of that .... As he continued on with his career, and both Jamie and I walked away from ours, to chase other dreams, I was always happy to see him still fighting for, us small-time guys, and was always routing and awaiting his call to congratulate us on our winnings in our own “different” races half way across the planet... I will miss you so much and I hope that your son, family, and friends can see their way through these toughest of times.... Today is probably one of the worst days of my entire life ..... Today those gray clouds roll in, to drape over and piss all over us..... What a fucking day and what a fucking disastrous year!!… So many ups and downs, lefts and rights, just like all the roads we’ve ridden… Thank you to everyone who came out, contributed, and supported us throughout the span of all of our rides.... “Unfortunately and Fortunately”, we are now saying farewell to our beloved “WEINER RIDE”.... Guess even the dogs are starting to starve during this pandemic!!! .... One of my good friend’s called me for some emergency work on his wife’s only pair of prescription sunglasses ....Their beloved dog had a field day with them... Thankfully the lens wasn’t damaged too much and their dog was ok.... Since all the optometrists are closed until further notice, I had to try my best to keep his wife from walking in to the wrong house or driving up on his neighbor’s lawn.... Had to brush off my plastic melting skills today and fill in the chunk missing on the frame.... Then recut, sand, color, and polish the frame and groove for the lens to pop in.....
