absolute genius in my twt replies just brought up the fact that ak!pac stopped wearing his hoodie when he was working with leo as a literal symbol of leaving his old self - who he perceives as so much weaker and lonely - behind.

the sweater quite literally is his identity, it's his symbol of being, a thing he's carried with him since birth. even if he still doesn't know who he truly is or what his purpose his the sweater will always ground him.

him putting it on so soon after his death was such a literal representation of him returning to himself all over again after trying so hard to deny his own identity, he can never escape from a past he can't remember but he'll still cling to the perception of comfort it brings him.
