Sorry to pull the identity card again, but I think y'all just hate women with the way y'all are talking about Unika. I'm sorry DR hasn't given us her favourite colour or animal or food or whatever other factiod you're looking for to gleam "who she is apart from her relations." But if you haven't noticed she was dealing with severe repression for most of the anime thus far because she was under Nerville's control and only now has she started to leave his side and the world is actually ending so maybe in the future she'll have time to look at the screen and say, "My hobbies include bee-keeping," like y'all desperately need to care for her. Unlike apparently most Strive fans I'm able to recognize she has a personality through the substance of her interactions with others and it's seriously so annoying seeing so many complaints that she has nothing as a character just because y'all can't bother paying attention to her.

She was raised and isolated by an extremely abusive parent and the story is about her breaking out of her (this time, metaphorical) egg and becoming the person she wants to be, but that takes time and she's only just started. She is inexperienced when it comes to dealing with others, so she is withdrawn and distrusting, but she does want to connect with people so desperately. She is insecure and has a need to be validated, but she also has a strong sense of justice that can trump her anxieties. There's so much going on in her character and I'm just sad that people can't see it.
