Five years ago today, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. It's been five years of lab work, blood tests, procedures, and treatments. But I'm happy to say, with the help of medication and a bit of a lifestyle change, I'm in remission and my symptoms are under control. I'm very lucky to have the support of my family, friends, nurses, and doctors to help me get through all of it and keep this disease under control. Hopefully I will continue to be this lucky for several more years! This picture is from a couple days ago when I had my Remicade infusion, not a fun process but it helps tremendously! #crohns #crohnsdisease
