Clara went on with her usual routine everyday, waking up early to go to work and all that. Everything was entirely a loop, but that’s how she was living her life without the Doctor. There were no adventures across in time and space. No more chasing. No more hiding. No more bickering. She missed those moments and now, they were only etched in her memory.

One late afternoon when Clara was finally out from work, she decides to unwind by going to the street and do some window shopping. Just as she was busy looking at new items that were on sale, she hears a voice calling out to her. The brunette faces the source of the sound, quite surprised. 

“I’m sorry? Have we met?”

The Doctor flapped her coat out before grabbing her braces with a grin, giving her a quick spin so Clara could see her whole outfit. Honestly, she was proud of it, even though the fam made fun of it when she first picked it out. 

“You’ll only remember me as eyebrows,” she said, giving her own a wiggle. “Oh! Or maybe old me with that chin.” She knew the old her wasn’t around, she’d remember something like this. She also knew it wasn’t the best to go back and see previous companions in a different body, but the TARDIS obviously wanted her here for a reason. 

“It’s me! The Doctor!”
