Externally? Yeah he’s probably never like this unless he’s either A) wasted or B) in a lot of emotional distress but. Oh my god internally… I don’t care how delusional it sounds, internally Mydei’s thought process towards Phainon is this. You don’t ask someone to visit your library in the next life without this thought process. You don’t entrust your people to someone without this process. You don’t go around affectionately calling them “Deliverer” without this process. Phainon fell first but ohhh Mydei fell harder and I will DIE on this hill.

Never in a million years would I say he’s a “wifeguy” cause I hate that trope with a burning passion, but I wholeheartedly believe Mydei has most of Phainon’s yearnerisms, he’s just quieter about it/doesn’t express it as outwardly. I wanna see this man SOB and Phainon take care of him. Idc idc idc he deserves it Mydeimos deserves to let go of that restraint AND he still tops Phainon cause fuck whoever thinks only bottoms deserve that kinda love in ships.

When TB first meets Dr Ratio in Herta's station, we see Dr Ratio playing chess against himself. Based off the theory Dr Ratio is one of the segments, could this be a hint that he would be facing off another segment and/or symbolizing struggle among the segments in terms of philosophy, how they deal with Nous and the path of Erudition?

It very well could be! In fact I think that’s the coolest way of interpreting it!

However, Ratio is also very much a comic relief/please find him funny character, so they also could have just done that for the sake of the bit, which isn’t surprising… but is kinda annoying considering all this.

If what happens happens, we’re all gonna have a VERY fun time looking back on things haha

This might seem like a dumb question but Imma ask anyone, I like the ratio is one of the segments theory but it's just ratio feels like a human to me I just can't see it 😭 could it be possible a segment fused with a human OR took a human appearance? I mean, we don't know much about the segments

Canonically, the Zandar segments can take any form!

Zandar himself was human or at the very least humanoid based on the photo we have of him- therefore Ratio being a segment actually makes more sense than Lygus, who’s an Intellitron for some reason (likely cause aging affects him less)

I also think Glaux might be a Zandar segment cause he’s has a lot of Ratioisms tm* and mysteriously dissapeared

As for the other segments, while we don’t know anything about them, it would be very, very weird to not meet another eventually, since what’s the point of saying there’s other Zander’s if we aren’t gonna meet another.

Additionally, the segments also represent Zandar’s flaws, and since Ratio IS human, I feel like he’d represent a human quality, like Zandar’s doubt or mundanity.

Considering how the quest Ratio is introduced in is “The Crown of the Mundane + the Divine” and how Ratio’s both literally a Mundanite and just calls himself that, I feel like that would be his “flaw” if he’s a Zandar segment. Meanwhile, Lygus, an Intellitron, would represent Zandar’s divinity (as a GS member) or his arrogance- something otherworldly.

Lygus might actually have one assigned but I honestly don’t remember/will have to check.

Either way I hope we learn more about the segments beyond this relic set! Let me know if yall have more questions I could literally talk about this for the rest of time 🤣

In the cerydra trailer, there's a shot where she and lygus are playing chess whilst floating the same way Ratio does,,, either some more fuel to the lygus and Ratio theory or maybe this is just something chess players in the hsr universe can do lol

What if Ratio playing chess with himself is a reference to him playing with Lygus in the past and since in this theory they’re both Zandar segments… he’s technically playing with himself if he’s facing Lygus. You can’t even argue it’s random cause Cerydra is literally a creation of Lygus she gets some of her traits from him. There’s also an instance of her saying “Heh” and Anaxa saying “Heh” too which is what Zandar uses I’m gonna bang my head into a keyboard

I feel like people don’t understand that Phainon, Khaslana and Flame Reaver are all the same person, just at different moments in time + different memories with the way people talk about them 😭

Phainon’s real name is Khaslana and he’s also the person he becomes at the end of each Recurrence when Flame Reaver (og Phainon/Khaslana) finds them and they like… merge with the new Phainon taking on old Phainon’s/Khaslana’s memories. It’s weird. I’m not gonna lie this might be a shit explanation of this and I need to reread to explain it better but… they are the same person.

A kind of morbid way to put them is Phainon in various stages of brain damage but like… that is what they are. Reaver’s just a mentally disabled Phainon which is why Reaver makes me so fucking sad + also why I hate all the creepy ass headcanons people have around him. I’m sorry yandere Reaver enjoyers but… no, just no. He’s not a rabid dog. I already don’t like those hcs with Phainon but especially not with FR… let him rest please 😭

Thoughts on Ratio being a worm theory?

I love it, it’s extremely funny and I would not be mad in the slightest if they went there because of how funny it is, even if it’s very unlikely 😭

It continually surprises me...

That people say Mydei is better at "hiding" how down bad he is or that he's better at pretending to be an idgafker in comparison to Phainon or (even more ridiculous) that he isn't as invested in Phainon as Phainon is in him...

Like are we playing the same game?

Are we talking about the same Mydei who:

1. Despite the city being swarmed by titankin, chose to wait at the gate of Okhema just for Phainon to return from his mission, burst into one of the most excited grins we ever see from him the second he saw Phainon, and then promptly ignored that they had a whole audience just so that he could show off specifically for Phainon?

2. The same Mydei who tells almost total strangers--in front of the biggest rumormonger in Okhema(!!!)--that he thinks it's his personal job to protect Phainon's "fragile heart"? "They're spreading rumors that we're together!" "Yeah I know, I started it."

3. The same Mydei who gives Phainon access to his private living space, lets Phainon bodily drag him out of his own bed while he is sleeping, and bathes with Phainon apparently daily, in the baths that are directly exposed to entire crowds of Okhemans?

4. The Mydei who, despite recovering from injuries, comes running to the scene of Phainon's Strife trial and then announces without pause in front of all the other heirs that he was "right to worry" for Phainon's safety? (Who Aglaea, demigod of Romance, knew she could manipulate into taking the Strife coreflame specifically using Phainon's safety as the bargaining chip?)

5. Who never turns down a single one of Phainon's stupid challenges--even in public--and, in fact, jumps on board without hesitation 99% of the time? Who invents his own challenges just as an excuse to keep competing with Phainon?

The face of a man who just thought up ten different ways to get Phainon to spend more time with him.

6. The same Mydei who, when Phainon says "Where are we going to hang out later?" (not "Can we hang out later?" but just WHERE), doesn't go "I'm not hanging out with you later" but instead says "Let's just finish this first" [and figure out our date when we're done].

The third-wheeling Trailblazer scarecrow gets me every time.

7. Who pours his heart out about the companions he lost, even though Phainon hadn't actually returned the favor and told Mydei the truth of Aedes Elysiae?

8. The same Mydei who, without a single hint of hesitance, asks Chartonus to "Look after Phainon for me"?

9. Who unironically goes around calling Phainon his "Deliverer" in public? Remember that this is an Okheman public who, up until 3.2, literally only knew Phainon as "the penniless lad who follows Aglaea around."

Apparently, for the people of Okhema, Phainon spent years being "that dirt poor antique freak whom the Crown Prince of Kremnos calls 'Savior' on main."

10. Whatever the hell this was...

Bonus: The same Mydei who yearns in a life where they never even met???

Like where is the "hiding"? Where is the idgafery? Can someone point me to it please, because I just don't see it. 😂

I would argue that Mydei's down-bad-ness is actually even more apparent to the people of Okhema than Phainon's because it makes perfect sense that a random Chrysos Heir who fancies himself a warrior would admire a whole crown prince from a warrior kingdom, but what's the crown prince's excuse for being glued to the side of this basically no-name guy who's not even Kremnoan???

Probably not, but it would be interesting!

Their parallels are more him taking on her role as a Mundanite, not a literal connection, but if the owl-book he has ends up being like an heirloom of hers, that would be cool.

Personally I think it’s way more probable that Ratio’s another Zandar segment, but he could honestly be related to anyone considering how we don’t know anything about his parentage at all 😭
