it's my 18th bday today! I'd worked on this for about, like, a week leading up to it and I wanted to post it before heading to bed! more of a ramble/personal thing below :P

I'm very happy to be here in the present day and make it to 18. Drawing this really helped me look at how far I've come over the years. Knowing I've made it to 18 (and can do grown-up stuff like gamble i guess) when i didn't know if i would, having been in the hospital at a point and struggling with mental and physical disabilities daily has been really relieving. I'm happy to have made it this far, especially with the current state of my country (i am American ToT). I struggled a lot throughout my childhood, and it's somewhat weird to realize it's pretty much over, but I'm happy that once I got out of a lot of bad situations, that I was able to spend the last 2-ish years living my childhood years to the fullest and feeling almost normal, with a successful prom and everything. I'll be graduating in a month as well, and while it is very scary and nerve-wracking, I'm really happy to be here with family to support me (and super cool friends as well that are very supportive and kind that I've met in the past 2 years). I'm happy to be alive, which wasn't always the case for me. I'm glad I can look back at my growth, and who I am now, and feel proud. And cared about. I'm happy to be here. <3
