Something that has haunted me about Preacher is a scene from his second stream, and it’s the moment Scott gives him a stack of baked potatoes.

This sounds really unimportant all things considered until you remember that not 20 minutes before, Martyn called Ren out for how low his belt was on his skin, and Preacher said it’s because the state of the church is making it difficult to eat.

Y’all. Preacher spent the first session making multiple farms so that everyone in town is fed. His first order of business was food. He kept going around asking if people were hungry, then kept announcing that there was a community farm at the church that everyone could take from.

Do you think it was a pattern. Do you think his lack of money on the road meant he got used to going without. Do you think the stress of building then rebuilding the church in the wake of the previous Preacher’s death and the sandstorm made Preacher go days without eating, or eating very little. Making sure everyone else is fed first before he himself grabs something, if he grabs anything at all. Do you think Scott noticed. Do you think the Sheriff, in charge of the well-being of the people of Pity, would subtly incorporate food into their conversations and hand some to Preacher every time he was stressed. Do you think he noticed how skinny Preacher was getting in those woods and took it upon himself to give Preacher as much food as possible. (Do you think that’s why the donation box is filled with as much food as it is, rather than gold.)

Them all hyping up Cleo for the final kill will forever be special to me, the way they pretended to be dogs and barked at Cleo when the session first started, the grandpas on the staircase, Cleo saying she knew Ren and Martyn were gonna betray them all (WHICH THEY DIDN’T BTW, love that for them), Cleo and Etho huddling together in fear I’m a tree when they were being hunted by reds, the circle of telling each other who they’re mad at

So many good moments, such a fun team I wish we saw more of

I’ll have to admit my favourite final greens/yellows team from the life series will always be last life. Something about them breaks my heart. Plus they were able to kill the rest of the reds that kept terrorising them.

Scott being the boogie who refuses to kill, Rendog’s bubble elevator attack working, Cleo getting the final kill on BigB and Etho yelling “they got the fart!”

Third Life Ren having short hair and then growing it out constantly over the seasons in an attempt to cover his neck scar after the beheading and wearing clothes that covered his neck scar until Wild Life when he trans with Martyn again and he keeps his hair at that length and wears more revealing clothes neck-wise

The Cabin Men have an Explosive Proposal

In episode four I just thought the Cabincore group looked very menacing on top of that dirt wall offering Martyn to join them in the boogey kill. It was so cinema-like when BDubs came to Martyn to warn him about his team approaching and Martyn immediately getting worried that he might be targeted by a full group of ppl. Then Cabincore ominously appears from behind the wall and all line up on the high ground.
