hey. guys. not to vaguepost & i know we're all having fun and this is gay dot com and all. but do we HAVE to make jokes abt calling someone (who is on tumblr and following a lot of the fandom, and whose sexuality we Do Not Know) a faggot or a queer in a very clearly negative/derogatory sense. like i realize it's about the character and not the cc but .... theres a difference btwn (a) reclaiming a slur by using it Positively as an identity for yourself or your community, (b) joking around and using it as an insult w friends who you know are ok with it, and (c) just straightup using it as an insult for a stranger. and quite frankly a lot of people are bordering on the third usage and should maybe tone it down. being gay does not actually make you 100% in the clear to be kinda homophobic at someone youre not actually friends with, neither does "haha thats just a joke i am actually very excited for the gay shipping". its not a huge deal but thats just my onion
