Deep cleaning my refrigerator for the first time in ages and while doing so realized the railing on the door shelves still had plastic covering on it 🧍i've been wondering since we got the damn thing why the rails had a weirdly blue tint compared to the rest of the fridge

i understand the labubu hate from an anti-consumerism standpoint but i have NEVER seen people complaining about it THIS loudly for other trendy collectibles that have come and gone in the past few years. criticism is usually met with the crowd favourite "let people enjoy things/no ethical consumption under capitalism" responses so i'm wondering just how much it has to do with "thing, japan" VS "thing, china" like is the root of this just sinophobia. at the end of the day.
