Thinking about the fact that season 5 is going to open with a flashback of Will in the Upside Down, and the earliest scenes we know about after that are of Mike in his room, Joyce speaking to Karen in the kitchen and Will and Mike going to school with Holly.

is Will going to wake up from the flashback like a nightmare? Are we getting a repeat of this, but at Mike’s house this time?

We’re finally getting a proper glimpse of season 5 after 3 YEARS. And to think I tricked myself into thinking we were getting something last November. That was 8 months ago!!

We don’t talk enough about how Will’s words in the car were everything Mike needed to hear from someone. They made him feel wanted, they addressed all of his insecurities and they made him feel loved.

So many GA members and Milkvans like to skip over how Mike was feeling up to then, and only care that Eleven wanted to hear him say he loved her. They completely skip over everything Mike needed to hear El say.

Completely taking Byler out of the equation here - they can’t just move on from this as if all is well and El doesn’t have to say anything herself. That’s not fair on Mike, it’s not fair on Will and it’s not fair on El. The conclusion can’t be that Will spoke for her using his own feelings and that fixed everything.

I know that the time skip complicates how they will be able to address what happened in the van, but doing so is a MUST. Thinking that the show can just move on just shows how little people actually care about these characters.

That leaker wrote a comment saying they hope Mileven aren’t half broken up again in season 5, so I wouldn’t worry about the trailer lol. They obviously didn’t see much to worry about

Regardless of Byler, the teaser being so Will focused was the perfect slap in the face for Milkvans who’ve been downplaying Will’s importance for the past 3 years.

Guys, whatever happens next - whatever we learn about season 5. I just want to say well done for surviving a 3 year drought.

We’ve had so little to work from in all this time and many of you have kept things entertaining and found a way to enjoy Byler through all the negativity.

Tonight feels like a turning point no matter what - the start of marketing. Maybe things will go our way, maybe they won’t.

But regardless, you’ve all been fun and kept up the spirit. Let’s keep positive and enjoy the fact that season 5 is finally happening!!

The wait for season 5 content is driving me insane. How are we in April 2025 and still completely in the dark…

It’s worse when you want to look forward to it but there are things you are dreading inbetween (for me, medical appointments) and so you can’t just wish away the months

Why would you make this boy suffer so much over his feelings for Mike, to the point that he sacrifices his own hard worked gift for him to save Mike’s other relationship, if he doesn’t end up being loved by Mike in return?

It would be bad enough if this was Will’s only problem. It’s the fact that they gave this storyline to someone who’s already suffering terribly from his time in the Upside Down and his connection to Vecna. This is a boy who never wins and has no reason to ever expect a win. There was no reason to kick him even further with something like this.

Giving him some shitty last minute boyfriend and having Mike just accept him and move on would be the worst possible writing, and would make everything else that happened in season 3 and 4 completely pointless.

His feelings for Mike and the focus on them have to have significance to his storyline - they’re not just something that, as Milkvans are hoping, can be concluded and moved on from within the first couple of episodes of season 5.

We’re almost in April… and we’re definitely getting at least a teaser trailer by the end of May.

I think sometimes you have to step outside of the Stranger Things bubble and see that other fandoms’ subreddits are just as bad.

People on there are always shutting down logical topics of discussion and stay in complete denial of things, only to be completely proved wrong afterwards by cast/ creator interviews and/ or the main show itself.

That’s exactly what the ST Reddit has done time and time again already, especially with the topic of Will’s sexuality.

There’s always a few posters who seem to assert their dominance and then their POV becomes the only accepted way to read the show. They dismiss cues and entirely misread the intentions of characters and their writers.

It’s always fun to see it all unravel in the end, though.
