installed for exposure. final handin. I have put my work quite high. above the 1500 line. I like the height, it resonates with the work. floating in space. jumbled around, I put the work in the corner to play with the right angles, the body of work is called intergalactic love triangle and I like that the objects as paintings can play with corners like that. I spaced everything in what felt "right" it took around 5 or so different hangs to get to this point but I feel confident in my work.

four chambers of the heart
letter writing workshop at enjoy.

I constantly refer to my paintings as visual love letters, as I find myself not that savvy with words in moments of sincerity I can gesture with light and colour in more meaningful ways. I did this workshop to learn a ways of expressing myself verbally in forms of letters, as I will be away from my loved ones all summer long I want to have some beautiful words to send back to them.
the workshop had a curriculum, a slide show presentation of the history of letter writing, treats and then writing our own letters. ideas about letters being a multi sensory experience and hyper personal.

dad and mum and their music.
preocupation with the word intergalactic probably comes from their music,
"Inter-dimensional messengers, shaman of the up-vibe, Beop transcend media, space and time to connect with people in the 21st Century."
beep is a band in a time bubble. there's a song by them called our souls are intergalactic. I never thought till today that that is where I love that word from.
intergalactic gives placement to a higher than self. not in a hubris way though. in a we are all made of stardust way. we are all earthly beings with intergalactic souls and potential for love. light is intergalactic, time is measured in light in the universe.

and then tension build up.
a lot of install drama. beginning with the idea that lewis Elijah and would all share 3 walls. which ended up changing without most of our notice. and lecturers had to be involved. its all worked out now though and I feel that my final install is pleasant to look at.

Tension Buildup/ Friendship breakup
tragically based on current events.
painting as a way to find catharsis in chaos and heartbreak within friendship.
tension that builds up and explodes in horrible and unexpected ways. and lets loose in equally gruesome.
Representing the slow breakdown of a friendship, and buildup of tension, bruising of ego, betrayal and general hurt, this painting is vibrant but depicts an infected wound, sharp, stingy, garish, alarming gross, painful. A friendship gone sour by no fault other than the two who made it so.

making fun, I can't drive, am addicted to my phone. what is the lesser of these two evils. in a digital age and changing climate, to drive Is an escape from phone time, except I can't drive and dont have a car.
