Karlach, of course, still misses her parents a lot, so after Avernus, whenever they're in town, she and Tav stop by to say hi. The first visit after they're married is probably one of the hardest, and they spend a long while sitting in the shade of the big tree together - Tav gently guiding Karlach to lead her through as happy of memories as she can conjure, helping to stave off the pit of loneliness where Karlach's family used to be.

(Tav's parents were cremated and their ashes scattered per their wishes - it's not the common practice in Baulder's Gate but it is pretty normal among Tav's family.)
