my new headcanon for workin boys (the short): steph & brenda were gonna go to the theatre on a double date with pete & kyle respectively but max intercepted them both on the way like when pete went to pasquallis </3 bc we know he doesnt approve of kyle & brenda for some reason either (i dont think he Has a reason i think he just wants control over people)

which is also why steph & brenda are sitting in the middle of an otherwise empty row they left seats either side of them in case the boys got there late

also yes i know mariah's character in the audience was just "woman" in the credits but like. no it's steph fight me 🤎
