"Suzuki-san" handmade bar soap

Scent: Bourbon and Cherries. Described as a smooth blend that combines the oaky aroma of bourbon with a deep, yet sweet fruity quality brought on by a blend of maraschino and black cherries.

Ingredients: olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil (RSPO), sodium hydroxide, almond oil, castor oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, sodium lactate, fragrance, micas, kaolin clay, and biodegradable glitter.

Size: Aprox. 4-5 oz (113-140g). Because our soaps are handmade and hand cut, they may vary slightly in weight from bar to bar.

Out of curiosity, I put all Junjou Romantica works on AO3 that are written by authors whose pseuds start with the letters A or B in a spreadsheet. Crossovers are not included.

I didn't want to use some kind of scraper, so I did everything by hand. Because numbers like kudos and hits can change very quickly, this data will probably already be outdated by the time I post this, but it's just for fun, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

*stands on my soap box* CHIAKI IS NOT AS POORLY WRITTEN AS THE HATERS KEEP SAYING HE IS 😡😡😡

So i keep seeing people say he’s literally just the standard oblivious uke but ??? I def think that takes away from his entire character 😭

He’s not as oblivious as he is TRUSTING. He just innately trusts the people close to him to be kind to him, to take care of him, and thus doesn’t think there’s ulterior motives to their kindness (in the cases of Hatori and Yuu, specifically).

Bc being oblivious comes with a certain character flaw 99% of the time: they’re fuckin unaware of their obliviousness. But Chiaki is fully aware of the things he does that people characterize as “oblivious.” Like he’s AWARE he’s selfish, he knows he’s insensitive, and he Knows he takes advantage of things he shouldn’t.

He just trusts that when he takes advantage of Hatori’s offers to cook, it won’t be taken the wrong way. Or that when he’s late for a deadline and needs Yuu to drop everything he’s doing to help him, Yuu will come. He’s VERY aware of his bad habits (and feels guilty abt it!)

I also think that people overlook his very… very painfully obvious ADHD. He has ADHD. Undiagnosed ADHD i’m 99% sure. Like the dude has executive dysfunction problems, which is what leads him to missing deadlines so frequently.

This then also plays into his relationships I swear by god I swear. He’s insensitive not on purpose but bc he is already leaping to conclusions that his brain fast tracked on its own; In the proposal hen, he kept misunderstanding Tori’s frustration with him blatantly telling his mom he was gonna propose to Hatori. With Yuu, he kept misunderstanding his anger when they were fighting because he left to see Tori on his birthday.

Another thing i see people really overlook is that Chiaki prioritizes friendship very, very much. He cares about his friends and feels hurt when he thinks they’re hiding something from him, because it means they don’t trust him.

Like when Chiaki thought Hatori and Yuu were dating!

He wasn’t even disgusted that they were boys, which is fucking INSANE to see from this author. Do you guys not get how crazy surreal it is to go from every “BUT WE’RE MEN WE CANT DO THAT” uke to a “They’re kissing!!! … well I can’t judge them just bc they’re men. I will however judge them bc theyre my BEST FRIENDS” one?!?????

It’s not even like Kisa or Ritsu or Hiroki, because they all fuckin knew they were gay. They had their time to figure it out themselves. Chiaki was brand new to that world and his immediate thought process was “I really do not care that theyre both men.” INSANE. INSANE. AND PEOPLE OVER LOOK THAT?

Chiaki is literally only concerned that two of his friends are seemingly hot for each other and NEITHER has even told him about having a crush. He just felt like a third wheel, which hurt his feelings. That was the problem for the beginning of that love triangle. Thats IT. Bro was just sad his best friends were kissing and he didn’t get to hear the gossip.

(Overlooking the obvious allusions to Chiaki also being in love with Tori but just not realizing it)

I’m like 99% sure Chiaki is just stupid half the time too. Like i’m dying on the hill that he wasnt even aware liking boys was an option, which is also why he wasn’t as opposed to DATING one.

ADDING ONTO THIS!! ☝️👹

Chiaki is so blatantly okay with homosexuality (maybe even bordering not understanding that homophobia exists???) that his dumbass told his mom he was gonna propose to Tori. This IDIOT.

AND I KNOW WHERE HE GETS THIS ACCEPTING PERSONALITY FROM NOW BC HIS MOM IMMEDIATELY SAYS—

Her ass… she’s the milf we deserve… she created such a creature of pure chaos…

And tori must suffer the consequences of her A+ raising. Queen shit.

CRACKS KNUCKLES dont even get me started on people overlooking his Obvious social anxiety and introverted personality. Like, I think we can all agree Chiaki is Hyper and also Enthusiastic and Loud, but he’s only like that to the people he’s unmistakably comfortable with (Tori + Yuu, specifically).

Even in moments with his assistants, who he is around more then any other non-romantic-interest character, he is Much more controlled (still silly tho) and doesn’t really tease or yap or shout about things like how he does around Hatori and Yuu.

And there’s a scene in the manga where Chiaki, out on a date w Hatori at a festival, gets sick from being surrounded in a crowd. Literally physically ill. Even tho he WAS having fun.

Chiaki kinda has this thing where if he gets ramped up, he’ll also get physically sick. His malnutritioned ass cannot handle strong positive emotions he will be bedridden (which he confirms himself) but beyond that, crowds stress him the fuck out.

It’s not even like how Usagi is from Junjou Romantica; Usagi just HATES being paraded around and being around randos. Chiaki, in contrast, gets stressed without a person to follow around. He’s classically socially anxious.

Lord I know I have more to say abt this little artist boy but I can’t think of the rest. I have lots of thoughts abt his relationship too but ranting abt that would be so exhausting.

SO BASICALLY … MY BOY HAS DEPTH STOP BEING MEAN TO HIM !!

He’s open-minded, enthusiastic, Trusting, a bit oblivious, playful and easily overwhelmed. If Chiaki wasn’t a strange little introvert he’d have the entire world in the palm of his hand I PROMMY
