au in which cowboy bebop are a band, and this is their first album titled “SEE YA SPACE COWBOY,” in reference to closing line of first ep

the concept of star crossed lovers, Cupid and the art history references,,,,chefs kiss.

seeing my cowboy bebop band au Art continue to get notes every once in a while actually makes me so happy bcs I first had the album cover idea in 2019, early start of pandemic n I didn’t have iPad just my laptop n krita but I never got it right on krita n was at a low point in art until think summer 2020 when I actually refined it and developed it in affinity and to see sm ppl like it means world to me ahhh (especially the comments in tags ahhh keeps me going ^_^)

follow up on my cowboy bebop band au, here’s a really unrefined sketch and rough planning for a mock-up gig tour poster (Faye version) for the first album, see ya space cowboy

still deciding on if I’ll fill render it in procreate or polish it up on affinity, the rasters vs vector graphics decision is one I still haven’t made

on one hand I can hand paint on procreate n get really detailed but still haven’t gotten hang of layers stuff n the quality is at risk of being kind meh on other hand vector graphics are crisp n quality is crisp n so good,,,,but gonna be more thinking to get more painterly effects with just vectors n blend tool n trying to not rasterize a lot

but anyways really exited to continue the bebop band au series n really pumped for possibilities for this set of gig posters (and for next mock-up album series for this au!!) this series never fails to pull me out of my art block, so many good ideas come with and I’m excited to show and develop them in the coming year ^_^

the pros of digital art: at any time you can reopen your files n reuse vector pieces you’ve made

like can’t draw a blade? but remember that one cool blade you drew already? reuse. can’t draw flowers? ok open files w flowers n see what to reuse and tweak

can’t do that w traditional art just end up redrawing everything from scratch n this end up more time on my computer than painting nn

also I know I just finished lovers blade today but like,,,,I too cannot believe I made that, like the development of that piece on my insta stories was a hot mess,,,,a lot of pieces are lots of clicking back n forth and figuring things out as I go until the very end where kinda intuitively feel something is done
